Very green and spaciously laid out campsite in the Anjou prefecture, a region with beautiful rivers, imposing castles, vast vineyards and picturesque villages. The campsite is situated along the Authion river in a wooded meadow area east of Angers. The bustling small town of Brain-sur-l’Authion is situated on the other side of the river.

Green, spacious and mental repose

As soon as you pass the barrier, you will get a sense of tranquillity, space and lush greenery. The camping pitches are situated on well maintained camping fields, separated by medium-height hedges. The odd tree provides some shade and the site is adorned with shrubs. This creates all sorts of sheltered corners with ample privacy and shade. The sanitary facilities are found in two ablution blocks. The facilities are not excessively modern, but are kept neat and tidy. In addition, rental accommodation in all shapes and sizes is available on the campsite. You can park your car at your tent.

Lovely swimming pool

There is a beautiful and fairly large heated swimming pool with transparent roofing. Wonderful for cooling off. If you want to go cycling, you can rent a bicycle on the campsite. Furthermore, there is a small shop which stock mainly snacks and sweets. You can do your daily shopping in the small town on the other side of the river.

Liked - The site was easy to get to and near local towns and amenities
Disliked - Sanitary facilities were a bit tired but everything worked and was clean

Liked - Friendly welcome at reception toilets and showers clean and well maintained good hot showers. We have a large caravan and the pitches were more than adequate to accommodate it.

Disliked - Only one shower toilet block open, the other one needed improvement and maintenance, one shower cold , another blocked , lights in toilets kept going off

Liked - Family run campsite with good facilities and within easy access of the town. Owners were very helpful and always on hand to answer any questions. The walk to the bus stop is only 10 minutes from entrance. Good bus service to Angers. Excellent bakers in the town.
