Great campsite in fantastic location beside small lake. Great for dog walking. Toilets not up to scratch and never in week there got a warm never mind hot shower.
This is a large site situated around a lake, which is beautiful. Many birds, duck, coots, herons and so on. Good facilities with loo paper provided. Plenty of hot water but we showered in the van as early mornings were very chilly. Pitches all good size and level. Staff very pleasant and helpful, especially the lady on reception (even though she gave me the wrong code to exit the barrier!) she is lovely.
Site is beautiful and in super countryside. Next door is a large park surrounding the rest of the large lake. The village has a good bakery and a small café but a short drive gets you to La Chartre-sur-le-Loir, a charming town with shops and restaurants
This very large campsite was on the way to the quite season when we arrived. It is based around a lovely lake. Lots of choice of grassy pitches. Good bathrooms. Activities available for kids. Nice relaxing place to stay.
Lovely site as an overnighter or, like us,
for an extended stay. As a fisherman I was disappointed to find the lake infested with small catfish. Good for dog walking. Overall a nice site but probably wouldn\\\'t return due to the catfish.
Beautiful site, with very large pitch. Restaurant on site open most evenings. Lovely one hour walk around lake - great for our dog. Was amazed that wifi accessible from our caravan, which was a bonus. Would recommend for families as there is a man made beach on the lake for swimming. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Nice site by large lake. Pitches flat, toilet facilities adequate. Good cycling round lake with access to sports park. Too far away from anywhere outside the site if you have done a long drive to get there.
We stayed here on our way down to Bordeaux. We liked it so much; we stayed for three nights. The pitches were all large and there was different ones all around the lake so a choice for everyone. We stayed near the beach where the pitches were very flat and organised with hedges between the other side of the lake there were huge pitches not as flat but next to the lake if you enjoy fishing. The site was quiet when we went at the end of August but would imagine it would be busy and great for kids mid season. The lake is beautiful and takes about an hour to walk around it you can hire sailing dinghies horses pedaloes and canoes. Wifi is free at the bar and the office. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Showers were not very warm and not much choice of food at the bar although they did sell limited provisions in the shop. I would definitely stop here again and would recommend it. It is really good value our first night was outside the Acsi-period and still good value.
We stayed for 3 nights at this site, and really enjoyed the peace. Normally we go out and about visiting, but here, we just stayed and relaxed. With the dog, there is a good walk right round the lake 4km. Very friendly and helpful staff. We left out ACSI ID card at reception when we left, and the staff held the gate from opening, and a young lady ran to catch us to give it back to us. How is that for service. Would highly recommend this site, and would definitely return if in the area.
We stayed here for a couple of nights in Sepember 2012. The pitches are various sizes, the hookups are a long distance from some of the pitches so long leads may be required. Lake next to the pitches, fishing, canoes and peddelos for hire.
Although we rarely use the toilet blocks they were clean but maybe a little old looking.
Staff were very helpful and the small town within walking distance.
Adjacent to the site was a sports park with football, boating, pitch and put and picnic areas.
Site well kept and the lake excellent
As we stayed in September the site facilities were limited which we fully expected. The showers were looking a little untidy after a lot of hard use in the season. No doubt. Plenty of hot water so no major issues for us.
The chemical toilet emptying place is best not used in the dark or after drinking but it is effective, if unusual !!
Good welcome on arrival,we were left on our own but felt we could have got help/advice if needed.
Some untidy static units on the site made some areas look rundown.
Generally a site worth staying at and we would return.
