Camping Le Domaine de Beaulieu is a quiet campsite in the Vendée, not far from the Atlantic coast and the beach. Within a few minutes by bike you are on the long beach. However, you don't have to leave the campsite for a dip in the water. With an indoor and outdoor swimming pool with paddling pools and slides, you'll find water fun for everyone.

Quiet campsite

It’s peaceful camping on the beautifully maintained campsite Le Domaine de Beaulieu, where there are spacious touring pitches on lawns. Many of the touring pitches are shaded by trees, but there are also sunny pitches. Different types of mobile homes are situated between the pitches. At the front of the campsite you'll find all facilities and play grounds. Further back on the terrain it is quieter.

Indoor and outdoor swimming pool

The fact that the campsite is a real family campsite can be seen from the swimming pools, among other things. These can be found behind the large main building. Not only can the adult campers have a nice swim here, the little ones can also have a nice dip here. Both the indoor and outdoor swimming pools have a paddling pool with a slide and water play equipment.

Cosy restaurant

Next to the swimming pool, separated by a fence, is the outdoor café of the restaurant. Here you can sit down at your leisure to taste dishes from the Vendée or for a quick bite or cocktail. The inside of the restaurant looks lovely, with wooden ridge beams and a large bar. A great place to socialise or to have a drink with your fellow campers.

Travelling party: Young couple

Liked - Excellent pool area and great facilities for children. We loved the number of pool loungers available.
Disliked - We stayed on a motorhome pitch and were disappointed with some basics. There water for washing dishes was never warm while the showers had very hot hot water that could not be adjusted. The heat in the shower was verging on dangerously hot to skin.
The electricity would not support two appliances being used. This is the first site in 6 weeks in France that this has occurred.
We were not given a code for the exit barrier and had great difficulty trying to leave before reception opened.
Also, the noise and loud music from a large party at the bar / restaurant continued until nearly 1am.

Liked - Staff very friendly and most helpful and polite. Have stayed a couple of times now. Have stayed several times in Givrand at another site but prefer this one. A good walk to St Gilles ( about an hour at a leisurely stroll) some delightful properties on the way. Hope to return again sometime.

Disliked - On pitch M19. We had a lot of rain during our stay and our pitch became water logged. Some work is required to divert the water running down the road away from this pitch.

Liked - The young girl on reception was very helpful and kind the swimming pool is heated the pitches were big and spacious.
