The La Forêt campsite and caravan site is a small-scale family campsite in a convenient location in the Vendée. A beautiful forest path of four hundred meters separates the campsite from a wide sandy beach. This campsite has a peaceful atmosphere. Furthermore, this campsite has a wide variety of trees and plants, a modern heated swimming pool with jacuzzi, a luxury sanitary building and neat camping pitches.

Fine camping

When you walk or drive to your pitch, you soon notice that this is a small-scale campsite with a friendly atmosphere. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and there is a wide variety of trees and shrubs. The pitches are well maintained and separated from each other by hedges and trees, which is a nice way to achieve some privacy.

Ideal for those seeking peace and quiet

Thanks to its natural and small-scale character, this campsite is ideal for people seeking peace and quiet. They tend to come in the off-season. In July and August, families with (young) children know exactly where to find this campsite. Nevertheless, the relaxed atmosphere is maintained, partly due to the campsite's quiet-time rule between 11 pm and 8 am.

Modern swimming pool with jacuzzi

In 2020, a new, heated swimming pool was constructed at the campsite. This is a nice pool in a mostly sunny spot, though there are also shady spots. The showpiece of the pool area is the Jacuzzi. In addition, at the campsite, you will find a small playground, recreation room, bowling alley and table tennis table.

Where can you get food?

La Forêt offers fresh bread and some groceries. In the high season, you can also buy some take-away food. Want to get a bit more shopping done? Then it's best to head off to the supermarkets in Notre-Dame-de-Monts (1.5 km).

Liked - Camping La Foret is a beautifully clean and tidy site in a wonderful location. We had a fantastic stay. The facilities are spotless and very smart, the pool is amazing, and the site is very well kept. Home-cooked meals available if you want them, and fresh bread/croissants etc every morning.
We were really (pleasantly!) surprised at how peaceful the site was. Obviously it depends who your neighbours are, but we found it to be so quiet - pretty much silent by 9-10pm until gone 8am every day. Bliss.
The location is great too - a 10 minute walk through the forest to a stunning and huge beach.
Disliked - My only negative comment is that we had hoped to get pizzas from the van that turns up every Tuesday evening, but we couldn't because we hadn't pre-ordered. We didn't know you have to pre-order! We found delicious pizzas to takeaway from the cafe at the campsite next door though.

Liked - The campsite was quiet, well mIntained and really clean. Our pitch provided good shade in the heatwave. The pool is lovely and our 3 year old really enjoyed the small pool as well as the larger pool I really appreciated the rules about not taking large inflatables etc into the pool. The takeaway and bakery services were great and staff were friendly and helpful.
Disliked - The pool area would really benefit from a toilet in the area as it was not great with a 3 year old having to exit the pool area. The playground is not suita le for small children. The site really maximises the number of putches which meant there wasn't a lot of space for children to play. Our pitch was a family pitch but barely fit in the tent and motorhome. Althoigh we had been pre-warned about the road noise, it was much louder than expected, even quite late at night.

Liked - Firstly, thank you very much Greg, Wiebke and extended family for being such welcoming and helpful hosts, catering for all our needs.
The villa was ideal for our three-generation family during our month long stay in July/August.. The well-designed,
modern accommodation with spacious grounds was impressive : immaculate and very comfortably furnished with tasteful interior design and beach themed decor; and extremely well equipped both internally and externally.
Every little detail had been considered.
