Stayed in September 2015. Only used this as an overnight stay. Unisex toilets, paper was on the wall outside the cubicles, Hot showers. Reception was closed on arrival, but just chose a pitch and settled up in the morning. Lovely short walk around the fishing lakes
Not brilliant. Expensive especially as we used the Motorhome section so hardly used any facilities (we used our own). Staff efficient but not particularly friendly. But the tourist office in the old public baths is delightful, especially with the small museum nearby. And the lady in the tourist office was very helpful and great fun.
A lovely site with a very nice warden. The site appears to be unmanned from about lunchtime until 6pm but you just go to the site and choose a pitch and pay the warden at 6.00pm when the office opens. Lovely pitches and well kept site and in easy reach of World War 1 sites.
Definitely worth a visit
Lovely setting next to a park/lakes. Large grassy pitches, we had our own water & drainage. Unisex toilets had no seats, very often no paper. no soap in dispenser BUT washbasin didn't work anyway! Chemical toilet didn't work so had to empty in camper van waste unit. Short walk into Albert centre. Good base for WW1 cemeteries etc. Reception very limited opening hours but if not open just find a pitch and let them know later.
Relatively quiet when we visited and we able to choose our pitch from the many free ones. Very green with plenty of shade. Toilets were reasonable, seen worse. Pleasant surrounds with nice walk around the lake. Handy for Albert.
Campsite was good, staff not good english even though it says they can speak english on website. Price was good, pitch was a good size, could do with more showers.
Overall a good campsite.
Good municipal campsite 10 minutes walk from Albert centre and well located to visit the Somme monuments.
Friendly welcome in English, choose your own pitch. Facilities are typical French campsite and shared.
Bread van arrives 9am and is very good value, if you miss him the vending machine is refilled at the same time so you can bag a baguette later. Small lake next door popular with the locals. Quiet at night but with the occasional local train. Very happy with our 4 night stay and would return.
A lovely campsite close to Albert - an easy short walk into town. Unfortunately the toilets and showers could all do with a DEEP CLEAN and REGULAR cleaning thereafter. Staff are pleasant and helpful.
Chemical toilet emptying facility still does not function and would appear to have been like it for years. Motorhome service point provides chemical toilet emptying but witnessed camper emptying cassette into grey water service pitch drain, also seen by member of staff. Will return but armed with plenty of bleach!
Very nice camping beside a river. Pleasant 10 minute stroll into the town of Albert. Sanitary facilities are clean and adequate. Pitches are of a good size, with good covering of well tended grass. Wifi is free and available beside the reception, where there are chairs for users. This site is ideal for people wishing to visit the WW1 sites in the Somme and only 2 miles from the Lochnagar Cratar where the Battle of the Somme started in 1916. Highly recommended.
Lovely quiet campsite on the edge of Albert, an easy walk into town. Clean facilities. Good place to stay if visiting Albert and surrounding areas on the Rememberance trail.
