In the north of France, not far from the estuary of the river Somme, you will find Yelloh! Village Le Ridin. This four star campsite is especially nice for families with young children. There are plenty of possibilities to play both inside and outside and there is an entertainment programme in high season.
In Belgium, take the E40 via Ostend. In France, the E40 becomes the A16. Follow the coast past Dunkirk and Calais, and take exit 24 towards the fishing village of Le Crotoy. At the roundabouts, follow the signs for Le Crotoy until the campsite is signposted. The campsite is situated next to a sand and gravel excavation, whose installations can be seen from afar.
Half or full board
The Le Ridin campsite consists mainly of mobile homes, as there are sixty rental accommodations and as many permanent year-round pitches. However, there are also about forty camping pitches and ten pitches for motorhomes available. The pitches are separated by hedges. At restaurant Le Mayocq, across the street, you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can even stay at the campsite on a half or full board basis.
Playing and swimming
Le Ridin has an outdoor playground with trampolines and a bouncy castle, but there's also an indoor playground for when the weather is not so good. In the high season, there is an entertainment programme. As most of these facilities are on the other side of the street, the children have to cross the road. Fortunately, it is very quiet. From May to September, everyone can enjoy bathing in the heated outdoor pool, the paddling pool and the indoor whirlpool.
