The busy campground Val de Boutonne is within walking distance from the town of St. Jean d'Angély. The campground is well maintained and is in a quiet environment in a lovely park by a river and very near a recreation lake. The campsites are between 80 and 100 m2 and are lined up on streets in the shade of deciduous trees. You have the choice of separate or open sites. There are many passers-through who sometimes stay longer than planned because of the beautiful location.

Swimming and shopping

There is a small swimming pool (12 by 7 metres) and a kiddie pool where the guests can sun themselves on the lawn. The lifeguard monitors safety and makes sure that the French hygiene rules are followed. The most popular groceries are available on the campsite. You can order bread for the following morning.

Sporty

The managers rent bikes, mountain bikes, canoes, kayaks, water bikes and row boats. So you can enjoy the lake and the surrounding area. The campsite is located on a cycling route. The lake is popular for anglers and canoers. We recommend having a drink at the restaurant on the lake to watch the sun go down. There are regular fireworks shows and wine tastings.

Beautiful starting point

The campground is near the historic town of St. Jean d'Angély, 3 km from the A10 motorway. An hour's drive away in the tourist area of Charentes you will find lovely villages and sights. The town centre of St. Jean d'Angély, built around the abbey, is an UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can walk there in just ten minutes.

Travelling party: Young couple

Liked - Staying in a heatwave and not able to use the pool because my partner didn’t have SPEEDOS and you didn’t have any to fit. He had perfectly good swimming shorts with a lining !!! A group of young lads were running around everywhere trying to wet each other but coming onto our pitch and everyone else’s . We booked your site because of the pool so not happy in the least
Disliked - You don’t have on your website information about SPEEDOS being compulsory , we would have got some if we had known or just not booked with you !!
Why do your toilets not have toilet seats everywhere else we’ve stayed had them ??
