Imagine yourself in a historical place on this castle camping site near the Atlantic Ocean. A swimming paradise with sauna, hammam, Jacuzzi, massages and face cares, fitness area and solarium and the many organised activities will ensure a top holiday on Camping Séquoia Parc. The camping site is situated in the French Charente-Maritime region, renowned for its large number of sun hours per year. The beach of Marennes in its sheltered bay is only 5 km away from the camping site.

When you arrive at the camping site, it feels like you are standing in an authentic village. The historical courtyard, the castle La Josephtrie and the adjacent farm buildings create a wonderful atmosphere. The green plants on the camping site complete the picture.

The camping pitches, measuring an average of 140 m2, are very spacious. The pitches are mostly separated by hedgerows and they all have electricity. Rental accommodation is also available on the camping site.

Swimming paradise and lots of entertainment

The camping site has a large water park of no less than 200 m2. There are five swimming pools, three of which are heated. In the swimming paradise you will find slides, play equipment and a exciting Lazy River where you get carried along on an inflatable tyre by the current.

Oysters and Cognac

From the camping site you can make some lovely culinary excursions. Marennes, only 5 km away from the camping site, is the oyster capital of Charente-Maritime. So, if you like oysters, you just have to enjoy this sea delicacy at a pavement cafe. A bit further inland lies Cognac, famous for its alcoholic beverage. You can go on a guided tour in several cognac houses and round this off with a testing session.

Liked - Large pool complex, very good playgrounds, well catered shop
Disliked - A lot of mosquitoes, prices on site very high for things such as bar, bbq etc
Safety concern in the accommodation, the bedside lights are very hot and my 3 year old son burned his hand quite badly on one - the bulbs should be changed as this is a health and safety risk

Liked - Nice clean site,nice pool and friendly staff.
Disliked - Kept getting cold food from take away,even after complaining and receiving some pitza vouchers the food was still only just warm.

Liked - The parks, the farm, the swimming, beautiful courtyard, friendly staff.
Disliked - The lack of staff at the information desk, reception and bar. The information desk without a doubt needs two staff on bike hiring, one to take the order the other to organise the bikes. The bar was poorly staffed with long queues.

Liked - This is our 5th visit to the site. Clean, good pitch and services, range of facilities, well stocked, reasonably priced mini supermarket, resealable catering
Disliked - Security needs to be improved when undesirable quests are on site. Staffing levels at bar and restaurants also needs to be increased at busy periods.

Liked - Great site, good facilities such as new Park. Well maintained and evidence of money being invested in site. This is our 3rd visit to this site and has many positives and becoming very popular. Nice location and great neighbouring places to visit (Royan, La Rochelle etc...)
Disliked - The site is getting too busy and this is evident around the pool and facilities. Space around pool, ques at the bar, shops and restaurants. Mosquitos are also a problem with my children refusing to go out after dusk. Entertainment is poor and the one show we viewed was not entertainment, totally inappropriate for children (sex based theme) and shocking! Strongly recommend these flaws are auctioned.

Disliked - Dissatisfied with a booking made by reception for our party of 8 going paddle boarding. The booking was not made correctly resulting in us loosing a day with travelling to and from the island

Liked - The lodge, swimming pools were excellent, general Park environment
Disliked - Mini disco had way too complicated dance routines the kids couldn't follow and the games excluded some children.
