At the sloping campsite of Camping Koawa Les Gorges du Chambon, the view over the forests is beautiful. Take a dip in the pool or slide down the new water slides. And after a nature walk, you can dine on the terrace.

Beautiful views

Your camping destination is on the edge of the Charente and Dordogne rivers. The last stretch to the campsite looks out over wooded hills. Before long, you will find yourself in the woods yourself. Among those forests lies the campsite. One thing strikes you immediately: those charming French buildings. You will be welcomed in one of these buildings.

Camping with a view

Everything exudes a sense of spaciousness at this campsite. The pitches are arranged in a circle. The best camping pitches can be found on the outer perimeter. Not only are these the largest, they also have the luxury of stunning views. Large trees lend these pitches the necessary shade. Do you want the luxury of your own kitchen, whirlpool bath or soft bed? Then you're in luck: the choice of rental accommodations is wide.

Fancy a cool splash? The swimming pool at the campsite is not difficult to find. It is located right next to the new water slides. These tower over everything. Race down the slide one more time before diving into the water. You can dry off in the sun, but you can also look for a shady spot.

Liked - Swimming pool is great and the shows block is clean
Disliked - No-one at reception to meet us, shop and restaurant closed. No bread available. Tired looking pitch and no lighting overnight. Generally feels like it’s closed for end of season and it was only early September when we stayed.

Liked - The space and peace, was amazing. It was so quiet and green and peaceful. The swimming pool was lovely. The staff were very friendly
Disliked - The showers. One block had not hot .water the other was erratic. Also the washing up water was not hot. The bar, restaurant and shoo were very disappointing

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

Liked - Swimming pool with slides are great, the children loved it!

Staff at the restaurant was very young but very sweet, nice and friendly.

There was an unforeseen issue with the accommodation we reserved.
We received a downgrade from a six to four person cabin which was a bit smaller but we did not really mind as we were only with four people.

Upon mentioning it to the manager she solved the issue instantly, without any hesitance she offered an extra night we booked for free.
Very impressed how this was handled, well done!!

Disliked - Maybe it was our taste but the pizzas in the restaurant were not the best.
