We stayed at the site for 3 nights but essentially as a stop-over. A most friendly welcome from both the warden and his wife who were really lovely throughout our stay. Our pitch was large and level. As part of the campsite there is a large field where dogs can run freely and exercise. The bar, close to the swimming pool, offered a good range of wines and beers. There are two sanitary blocks ~ both kept very clean. Highly recommended.
Very friendly campsite. Dog walks direct from site and very dog friendly. Pitch was nice and flat with a good degree of privacy. Pretty villages around and some nice woodland walks.
Very friendly welcome and checking in process. The pitches are very large, flat and grassy. The area surrounding the pitches is really well kept and landscaped with lovely flowering trees and plants. The washing area is very clean and modern, although it is shared toilet and shower facilities, rather than ladies and mens. Lots of hot water and fairly powerful showers.
The surrounding area is quiet although you can walk into the local town and it has basic shops nearby. There is free WiFi for eight hours and then you have buy extra time. WiFi was fairly slow so we didn\'t buy extra package. We only stayed two nights as we were just passing through the area but I really enjoyed our time here.
We stopped on this site for one night in August this year on our way south. We arrived during the lunch period and expected to have to wait but the owner appeared immediately and booked us in. The pitch was fairly spacious and level and the site itself was peaceful. Before leaving we booked to stay again for one night in September on our return journey and asked if it would be possible to order a baguette for our return stay. When we arrived we were greeted with a friendly smile and the bread was waiting for us. We had also asked for the same pitch which was waiting for us. The only small negative detail was that the showers in the nearest block were closed but really no problem as we showered in the caravan. Would definitely recommend. The owners were very friendly and we will stay again on our way south.
We found this very good for an overnight stop. Good level spacious pitches, helpful staff and clean toilet facilities. Quiet lane outside front gate suitable for walking the dog.
Used as stop over on route to Spain. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Pitch a good size and easily accessed. Site well maintained although toilet facilities (unisex) were disappointing. Would use again.
Lovely site, helpful owners, excellent location for touring and Futurscope.Showers toilets etc first class. Wi fi moderate but a very good price. We went for one night and stayed a week followed by another week a month later
We were on our way here in June when radiator hose on our camper split. We limped into campsite at 8 pm and the French owners were so helpful, they contacted the owner of the local garage that night and arranged for the repair, even coming to the garage with us. They were brilliant. The site is clean, tidy and we will definitely stay there again
A friendly British couple own the site, which is landscaped to a very high standard with beautiful flowering shrubs and trees. Most people staying here were only doing overnight stops, which was a pity as we stayed 7 nights and thoroughly enjoyed touring the surrounding countryside and exploring Poitiers itself. The facilities were spotlessly clean at all times.
Stayed for 5 nights in April 2010. The site whilst being a little remote was within very easy reach of Poitier and the shops and small town were only a short drive away. Facilities on site were excellent. Although visited in early season when thye weather could certainly have been better we had a most enjoyable stay, aided by the extremely hospitable English owners who went out of their way to be helpful paticularly with the help with our first attempt at setting up our new satelite dish. Highly recommended.
