visited August 23. This is a lovely campsite, really close to the town and the castles all within walking distance. Very nice staff and the site is very well looked after. Nice park with a lake just nextdoor. Typical French site I thoroughly recommend it.

Beautifully kept site which sits in between the two halves of Chauvigny itself. The receptionist was lovely, giving us information about walks into the modern part of the town, via the park, and into the medieval town via a path and a series of steps. A gem of a site we would certainly recommend.

Great location just below medieval town, five minute walk into the centre via a locked gate into a park. A good selection of restaurants in both areas. The site and piches are large and very quiet and dark at night. A very peaceful stay.

Local to the medieval city which has a few bars and restaurants. Superb site, very clean facilities (toilet seats!), hot showers, friendly staff. Washer & drier. Good prices. Well impressed!

Good location, next to a wonderful park with ducks and chickens on an island in a lake. Walk through the park and go straight ahead to the nearby market place, town centre and river or turn right and climb uphill to the medieval city. Both worth the walk. Pitches are generous in size. Pitches nearer the park have more shade, nearer the reception have more sunshine. Water and electricity appeared to be available on all touring pitches. Free WiFi, available on our pitch. Like most municipal sites, the sanitations are solid and functional. I was initially put off by the enormous open urinal and a \'hole in the floor\' WC until I took a good look around. The facilities are clean and comfortable. The showers excellent. Full marks. This is a lovely site for seniors travelling out of season. There’s even a defibrillator in the laundry room!
