Travelling party: Seniors

Good location, next to a wonderful park with ducks and chickens on an island in a lake. Walk through the park and go straight ahead to the nearby market place, town centre and river or turn right and climb uphill to the medieval city. Both worth the walk. Pitches are generous in size. Pitches nearer the park have more shade, nearer the reception have more sunshine. Water and electricity appeared to be available on all touring pitches. Free WiFi, available on our pitch. Like most municipal sites, the sanitations are solid and functional. I was initially put off by the enormous open urinal and a \'hole in the floor\' WC until I took a good look around. The facilities are clean and comfortable. The showers excellent. Full marks. This is a lovely site for seniors travelling out of season. There’s even a defibrillator in the laundry room!

Travelling party: Couple

Such a price for a night in a motorhome. Cheapest night in three weeks so far by a distance. Don’t know why it’s so cheap compared with others as it’s a decent site and located close to the centre. There is a short cut to walk up to the medieval centre but we cycled round hill and in from top. Not a great deal in the centre but to be fair we visited when temps were above 30*C so motivation wanes to say the least.

"This campsite is located 600 m from the Centre of the medieval town of Chauvigny, next to a city park. The campsite offers a beautiful view of the historic city."
