This now our third visit to this site. This site is in the middle of a residential area and not very quite and peaceful. But if you know where to park you can be away from the noise. It is very central for a walk to the beach and the bus stops 100 metres away for easy access to Cannes and the surrounding area. Cycling is good if you get a map from reception and miss the traffic Very helpful staff at reception and three good restaurants two minutes from reception. Good clean toilets and swimming pool. Mooring if you have your own boat. Yes it is expensive but we will return.
This site delivers exactly as promised in the ACSI description. Facilities are immaculate and the staff were excellent. They were particularly helpful by lending us a french/euro electrical adapter. The ACSI rate was adhered to. The location is perfect for accessing either coast or inland countryside off-season. We have not rated any of the other categories as they were not applicable to us on this visit.
I would not recommend this campsite. ACSI pitches are limited, had to pay full price for one night till one became available. The site although well situated for public transport, does not warrant that price. We were pitched next to a building site, constructing apartment blocks. Banging was continuous from 0700 till1700. Only ceased on Sunday. We should have been informed about this disruption. Had to move on as site was too noisy.
A disappointing site and expensive for what you get. Limited ACSI pitches that were narrow and by the entrance. Electric hook up was locked so staff had to be called to gain access. Free Wi-Fi in a separate room nearby. Nice showers and toilets. A very nice walk along the adjoining river in either direction. No shops or cafes open within reasonable distance. Overall not recommended.
The central location of this site is good for getting about the area, but during our trip so far using ACSI discount it has been the most expensive and the least impressive site. We were told ACSI members could only use certain pitches and the one we were allocated was tight and difficult to access.
The free WiFI point was welcome and there was a good little cafe just outside the gate.
Quality of site has deteriorated over last 12 months. When we visited April/May 2014 there was no motorhome facilities, site had been reduced in size by 80% and there were only 5 pitches available for ACSI members although there were other empty places.
This site is excellent in terms of location. It is 15-20 mins walk to the train station or 5 mins walk to the bus stop which get you to Cannes, Nice, Monte Carlo and all the major towns. Some of the ACSI spots are tight with little room other than for your motorhome, however in terms of location this can be forgiven. Close to the shops and to plenty of restaurants. The big positive is that you can walk / cycle to the beach and a lovely harbour setting - beautiful. So if you are there for sight seeing this is the spot for you. Facilities are clean and adequate - split for men and women but in the same block.
We arrived at this site, having done no research, due to leaving our previous site because of noise. Despite it being early in the morning and we had no booking we were welcomed by the owner in a friendly, welcoming manner. The site and toilets were immaculately clean and pitches were flat and generous. Wifi free. It is close to cannes but the absolute treasure is Napoule beach, marina and coastal walk. 3 restaurants close by and a supermarket around the corner. We loved this site so much we recommended it to a couple we were on site with in Italy, who were heading into France.
I am delighted to read the negative comments left by other people! Hopefully this will keep others away from this GEM of a site and leave it for those of us who appreciate its charm. It is quiet, uncommercial, no rowdies or drunks and not too many children as it has limited facilities for them. We have stayed here for several years for long periods, low through to high season and we meet the same French and Dutch people year after year. The owners are lovely and welcome us back like family. The only reason I'm writing this review is to redress the balance - I'd really rather keep Le Rossignol a secret!!
Not very many pitches in the best area but we were lucky and got one. Pitches a little tight. Near buse stops or walk into La Seyne or Sanary. Boat to Toulon from La Seyne is excellent as was Toulon. Quiet site; owners friendly.
