Camping Saint Gabriel, situated in the Provence, is a three star camping site with a difference. The camping site is compact (1.4 ha), with a lovely ambiance and is located in and around an old farmhouse. You camp here in the vicinity of the small town of Tarascon, centrally located for excursions to famous sights. Just think of Arles, Avignon en Saint-Rémy (all inextricably linked with Vincent van Gogh).
Small, but well-tended grounds
The 45 touring pitches of this camping site vary in size (also depending on the season). The pitches are separated by hedges. Don't have your own camping equipment? You can book a mobile home. Please note the opening times of the camping site: from mid March to mid November!
Camping Saint Gabriel is mostly frequented by adults who enjoy nature and the culture in the area. The elegant swimming pool (heated) offers welcome refreshment after a day out in the region. The pool measures 60 m2 and is open from mid April to 1st October. The swimming pool is attractively designed and is surrounded by lots of greenery. Around the pool is a terrace of synthetic turf with a few sun umbrellas and loungers.
Apart from the small toddler pool, there are no special amenities for children. Next to the swimming pool, in the open barn, is some fitness equipment.
Eating and drinking
The bar, shop (fresh rolls available in the mornings) and reception are located in the old farmhouse. There you will also find a nice and affordable restaurant with a terrace in the inner courtyard. The menu is somewhat basic, but all dishes are very tasty. Wine tasting is organised once a week.

We stayed 6 days end Oktober 2018. It’s a nice small campsite and the sanitary facilities was good and very clean always hot water also for dishwashing. Very central to sightseeing and you can hike and bike in the souroundings. For sure a campsite we may visit again.
Liked - Era como estar en casa, como en un pieblo
Disliked - Nada
Liked - Great swimming pool with more than enough beds and chairs. Shady pitches. Friendly staff. Central to lots of nice cities and villages. Once a week "moule evening" with music and dance (some of which in English).
Disliked - Only few staff members speak a little basic english. Water in pool and shower is too warm which makes it difficult to find coolness anywhere in 30+ degrees. Lots of musquitos which makes it almost impossible to sit outside when the evening starts.
Liked - Cleanliness of common areas
Disliked - Although the site was nowhere near full, we were charged an extra 7 euros for booking in advance which was not reimbursed.
Liked - The swimming pool. Friendly helpful owner
Disliked - Nothing to dislike!
Liked - Location ideal for so many types of place, Coast , mountains, hills, historic cities and spiriting activities.
Disliked - Pool full of famines playing rather than swimming at times
Liked - friendly, good atmosphere, well equiped
Liked - very good site, well situated for touring the region.
Disliked - Driving out of the campsite onto the main road was a bit difficult with cars parked in the Pizza restaurant blocking the view.
Liked - The very friendly owners gave the impression that they really enjoyed running the site. The Thursday night moules et frites was a great success.
Great site - perfect location to do all kinds of things in the area. Sparkling clean sanitaires, very well run facility. Owners friendly & helpful. WiFi not great, but all in all I would highly recommend this campsite!
