Camping Les Blimouses is located in the hills of the Côte-d'Azur. At this family campsite, the water park is particularly eye-catching. In the fun swimming pool with water slide and water playground, especially the smaller swimmers will have the time of their lives. You'll be camping on a sloping campsite, largely shaded by tall trees. Because of the differences in height, the touring pitches are sheltered and you will be in spots with lots of privacy.

Sloping terraced campsite

The touring pitches are situated on a vast terrain, largely shaded by large trees. The generally spacious pitches are situated on different terraces; due to the height differences of the sloping terrain you will never see many touring pitches and you camp on a sheltered and quiet spot with a lot of privacy. On a separate part of the campsite are the rental accommodations; classic mobile homes, but also modern lodge tents.

Family campsite

Camping Les Blimouses is a real family campsite. In high season, you'll mainly find young families with children from all over Europe. The water park is especially popular with small campers, who can also play in the playground on the campsite. And in the summer months of July and August, a French-speaking entertainment team entertains the children.

Restaurant and bar

Most of the campsite's facilities are located around the reception building, at the front of the site. Next to the reception is a covered patio. The restaurant is next to it. You can go here for lunch as well as for an extensive dinner. The summer evenings stay warm here for a long time, so you can sit outside until late at night.

Van 18 juli t/m 31 juli verbleven we op camping les Blimouses bij Callas. De ontvangst was plezierig. We werden naar onze mooie schaduwrijke plaats gebracht door een vriendelijke dame in een soort golfkarretje. De plek was, zoals gevraagd, dichtbij de toiletgebouwen.

Die toiletten waren wel een tegenvaller. Oud, veel defecten (wc\'s die niet doorspoelden, afvoerputjes verstopt, kramen die óf te veel, óf bijna geen water gaven etc.) Sterk verouderd, maar over het algemeen wel schoon.

Dé attractie van de camping was wat onze 9 jaar jonge dochter betreft het zwembad. Met drie glijbanen, een waterval en bubbelbad. Daarnaast een water playground met veel leuke speeltoestellen. Wat ons ouders betreft vonden we echter het zwembad aan de kleine kant.

Het restaurant stelde niet veel voor, eten niet echt lekker en beperkte keuze. Maar dat vonden we niet erg. Wat we wél vervelend vonden, waren de diverse karaoke avondjes en poolparties, die tot laat in de avond veel muziekoverlast veroorzaakten. Van rust was dan geen sprake.

De camping behoort tot één van de voordeligste uit de regio met een zwembad, dus de prijs/kwaliteitsverhouding was in orde. We zouden wel wat moderner sanitair en minder herrie gewenst hebben. Toch zeker een leuke vakantie gehad op deze camping.

Liked - Voor mijn kinderen van 5 en 6 jaar is deze camping ideaal. Ze kunnen zich goed uitleven aan het zwembad. Het zwembad is niet groot, maar dan wel weer ideaal voor de veiligheid om overal de kindjes te kunnen zien. Ook het waterspeelplein vinden ze top! De camping zelf is rustig, met weinig uitbundige animatie, maar daardoor voor ons ideaal om aangenaam te kunnen genieten van de rust. Het personeel is heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ook voordien via mail steeds goed geholpen. De camping is eventjes rijden van de bezienswaardigheden, minimum 30 minuten van strand.
Disliked - De dansavonden vielen tegen. Door de lifeband was er weinig sfeer en voor een dansavond wel heel saaie muziek. De karaoke daarintegen was wel leuk, al maak je de sfeer natuurlijk zelf :-) De camping heeft veel vaste plekken met vooral belgen, maar allemaal mensen die van de rust houden.

Samengevat: we hebben heel hard genoten van 2 weken La Douce Frans. Blije kindjes = blije ouders. Volgend jaar gaan we alvast een weekje terug!
