Camping Les Plages de l’Ain is beautifully situated in a wooded area, some 30 km from Lyon. The camping site lies on the banks of the river l’Ain, a location guaranteed to offer children hours of fun. The camping site is a good base for walking and cycling trips or excursions in the area, such as Lyon or the medieval town of Pérouges.
Shaded or sun-drenched
The camping site makes a well maintained impression with spacious, level camping pitches on a grass surface and neat sanitary facilities. Some pitches are demarcated with greenery. Numerous trees ensure shaded pitches, but for sun lovers there are also sunny sites. The sizes of the pitches are not all the same. The pitches for tents are slightly smaller. Scattered over the grounds are mobile homes. bungalow tents and cheerful Coco tents.
Building dams in the river
Children are sure to enjoy themselves on this friendly camping site. They can indulge themselves in the playground, swim in the two small swimming pools or build dams in the river l'Ain, which can be reached via a direct access from the camping site. Fishing is allowed in the river and in high season canoeing and kayaking trips are organised.
Morning exercises and outdoor laser game
The swimming pool is in a sunny location. In the summer months you can start the day with sporty morning exercises. There is an outdoor laser game for aficionados. In high season you can enjoy regional dishes in the restaurant (limited menu). The friendly owner regularly organises activities during the months of July and August, such as a concert or barbecue.

Liked - A small camping where you can really take a few days off to relax. Lyon is pretty near, and there are enough supermarkets around this place. Think it’s really usefull to have a car though.
Disliked - I didn’t like the toilets that much, but that’s something you take into account when you go to france. In general there are “standing” toilets or toilets without a lit.
Liked - Large pithces with good combnation of shadow and sun
Easy access to river
Calm campsite without noise and loud music
Disliked - Access from nearby town with a caravan not too easy due to many steep traffic calming installations on the road.
