At the edge of the Ardèche, directly on the river Rhône, you will find Le Rhône campsite. From your pitch you have a view over the river and the vineyards. This campsite is ideal if you are passing through. But it is also a great campsite for longer stays. You can walk straight into the centre of Tournon-sur-Rhône, with its restaurants and shops. Would you like to discover the beautiful nature of the Ardèche in a special way? Then get on the old steam train in the neighbourhood.

With a glass of wine at the water's edge

The pitches are not all the same size. But high trees provide nice shady spots. It also gives an intimate feeling. The most beautiful pitches are along the Rhone. The view from your pitch is wonderful. Not only do you look out over the water. You can also admire the hilly landscape on the other side of the Rhone. The hills are covered with vineyards. Maybe you will have a glass of wine on your table made from those grapes!

Motorhome travellers in transit

The attractive pitches with their high trees are ideal for motorhomes. Many guests pass through with their campervan. It makes camping Le Rhône a great destination for a short stay. But if you want to stay longer, that is also possible. Especially if you are looking for a quiet campsite.

Floating in the swimming pool

Lying down with a drink under a thatched parasol, this is how you can dry off after a dip in the pool. And all this while looking out over the hills of the Ardèche. The campsite's beautiful swimming pool is suited to everyone.

Liked - River View
Disliked - Unisex sanitary facilities, did not feel comfortable so didn't use them. Electric went off a few times. Nice Town Centre, pitches a bit hard to get into but overall a nice site.

Small site tucked down a side street. Nice view of the Rhone. The pitches, as you might expect, are quite small. Almost impossible to get your van, awning and car on, fine for a motor-home.Showers are heated but dated and not as clean as they could be. I found cob webs and dead spiders. The Wi-Fi is free. I'm at one end of the site, and i can pick it up. Being 'in' the town it can be a noisy. Local teenagers revving up mopeds spoilt my first night sleep, the following morning almost every one left. I don't know if the two events where related. The next morning a tanker 'hummed' nosily while it filled a pleasure cruiser with diesel next to the site. The town has a couple of pleasurable walks and shops are within walking distance.

Site is convenient for the adjacent town. Very smart new sanitary block was being brought into use during our visit. Some motorhome pitches are alongside the river, giving a good view of the river and it\'s traffic. Some other pitches are amongst trees, and some may be a little restricted.

Liked - Peaceful shaded campsite by the Rhone river and close to the town with its restaurants, shops and bars. Lots of things to do in the area. We enjoyed long walks in the sorrounding hills, winetastings and Good food.

Travelling party: Seniors

Liked - Nice site with great views of the Rhone
Disliked - Some large boats moor up on the banks next to the site which means you can wake up to people looking into your pitch

Travelling party: Seniors

Liked - Small, busy, friendly campsite right on the edge of town. Lovely heated swimming pool. Lots of pitches overlooking the river. Small shop stocks basics and local wines. Nice hot showers and lots of electric sockets to use a hairdryer (mine has a French plug).
The visit to the Valrhona factory across the river was definitely one of our best outings and the Train du Gorges was excellent too although you do need to sit on the right hand side of the train as it is moving forwards for the best views.

Disliked - We were woken up at 0200 one night by a river cruiser docking right outside our tent. We felt the crew must have been deliberately making a racket as normally the cruise boats just came and went without making much noise at all. It wouldn’t put us off going back though because the site has so many other good points but knowing in advance would have lessened the shock.

Travelling party: Young couple

Liked - This was a popular stop over site as it is not far from the motorway. It is in the centre of a beautiful, busy town on the banks of the river so there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance from the site. The toilet and shower facilities were nice and clean.
