We stayed here for 3 weeks in late May early June. we have a twin axle van and were given a large pitch near to toilet block. which was very spacious. Others that we saw were very spacious as well. the swimming pool is very good bread can be ordered the day before as there is not a shop. Our pitch was quite boggy due to the rain but no ones fault just the weather. There are several good cycle paths to use from the site and Valence is only a short drive away for lots of big supermarkets. We found it was used as an overnight stop a lot which is a shame as the site is very good. we would use again
we stayed for two nights travelling back home and a pleasant surprise. Good size pitches with hedging on three sides , good facilities , swimming pool (heated) and excellent restaurant meal in the evening. Perfect location for cycling with routes along the rivers. We consider this site a real find and will certainly return.
Why: We chose this site because it happened to be in the right place during our journey from Calais to Spain. It was our second stop after Calais. It looked like a nice site with good reviews.
Location: Just a few minutes from the Valence Exit on the A7. Well signposted and easy to find.
Check in was trouble free with the receptionist speaking good English. Beware. Even at the very end of August with site was still very busy and we only just managed to get a pitch. There were still lots of Dutch children on site.
Pitch – very tight access for a 7.5m van and the pitches themselves were very small and separated by hedges. After a long dry summer, it was very dusty.
• The shower block was well maintained and clean. No complaints.
• Swimming pool quite large for the site and very busy late afternoon. Clean and well maintained. Child friendly.
• Bar and restaurant. Usual international menu mainly featuring frites but it was very busy.
Pros – well placed overnight stop. Very popular with families. Short drive into Valence for huge range of Supermarkets and Petrol stations.
Cons – small pitches, compacted clay which can result in a very dusty caravan.
Would we use again – yes. Well run, clean well-maintained site.
This site is less than 10 minutes from the A7 and as such is used by many as an overnight stop. Be aware that most days the 'camping complete' notice was showing on the office door by 15:00 so be prepared to book ahead.
The pitches are large and mostly private. There are good childrens facilities and a nice looking pool. The sanitary blocks are amongst the best I have seen. The area has well maintained and mainly flat cycle paths to Romans-sur-Isere and beyond alongside the Isere river and both North and South along the Rhone. We extended our planned stay here.
Lovely site surrounded by fields of apricots/peaches. Showers/toilets are immaculate. Lovely pool area. Bar/restaurant on site. Approx 3 miles from nearest town with supermarkets etc.
We used this site as a convenient night halt. Very heavy rain made the hedged pitch was a bit muddy but no problem moving off. The facilities were excellent.
We stayed here for one night on our way south. It is a very nice site about 10 minutes from the motorway. The bar and takeaway were both open and reasonably priced. Staff were helpful and friendly and we would definitely use again.
