The well maintained terrain of terraced campsite Domaine La Garenne lies against a pine tree-covered hill. As a result you have a lovely view from many pitches. You camp here in Saint-Avit, a village in the heart of the Rhône-Alpes. Especially families with children of primary school age enjoy themselves thoroughly on this campsite.

Very spacious pitches

In front of you lies a sizeable and well maintained terrain. In the lower located section the pitches are partly demarcated. There are a total of fifty very spacious touring pitches (150-300 m2). The sizes vary more or less depending on the season. The spaciousness is great for privacy, but also for larger families that like to stand close to each other.

A round over the campsite and take your pick!

Upon arrival you can do a tour of the camping grounds with a map. The map shows the vacant pitches with a cross, so you can take a closer look. Don't have camping equipment? You can book one of the forty accommodation units (mobile homes and cottages). These are all on an elevated section of the campsite.

Great swimming

The swimming pool complex is adjacent to the cafe terrace. It has three heated pools. Dive in on of the two larger pools or splash around in the toddler pool. The pools are surrounded by a wide, tiled terrace. Ideal for sunbathing (bring your own sun umbrella). The campsite offers an entertainment programme, which is predominantly in French.

Local bites to eat

Great feature on this campsite: local shop owners come and offer their produce here, such as bread, pizzas, grilled chicken, goat's cheese, mustard, jam and olives. Enjoy!

Schone zwembaden , goed gegeten bij de kok!

Liked - Prachtige camping met vakantiebungalows op groot perceel met veel privacy. 3 mooie zwembaden. Iedereen zijn eigen grote plaats met vooral rust en een prachtige natuur
Disliked - Kleine dorpjes in de buurt hebben weinig te bieden.

Liked - Mochten zelf een plek uitzoeken omdat de camping niet vol stond en daardoor hadden wij een plek met een fantastisch uitzicht!
Plek 105B is een echte aanrader!!
Ook het zwembad (3stuks) is zeer ruim voorzien van comfortabele ligbedden, echt top.

Travelling party: Group of friends

Liked - De plekken zijn prachtig. Zelfs de standaard plekken zijn vrij groot en je mag zelf kiezen tussen de beschikbare plekken bij aankomst. Er leuk zijn de verschillende kraampjes met lokale producten die savonds op de camping staan. De eetgelegenheid is simpel maar precies goed. Kortom, prachtige kampeerplekken, simpel maar prima faciliteiten en een gezellige sfeer.
Disliked - Het was nu vrij rustig op de camping maar als het vol staat kan ik me voorstellen dat er bij sommige washokken wel rijen zullen staan voor zowel douche (3x) als toilet (2x).

Om dingen in de omgeving (restaurants, activiteiten, winkels) te bezoeken moet je wel weg met de auto. Supermarkt is maar 5 min rijden maar niet lopend te doen.

Liked - Mooie rustige camping, ideaal voor een gezin met jonge kinderen.
Disliked - De kwaliteit van het eten kan beter!! De pizza’s op maandag zijn daarentegen heerlijk!

Liked - Animatie door combinatie Franse jongen met Nederlandse dame. Kinderen vonden het geweldig. Zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel! Super grote staanplaatsen met heel veel privacy. Top top top.
Disliked - Hoge drempels in de weg (vooral in de toegangsweg, maar ook op helling van de berg naar standplaats). Te hoog voor de laagliggende auto's door lading en caravan bij (vooral) aankomst en vertrek.

Liked - Deze camping heeft zeer ruime XXL plaatsen. We waren hier voor de derde keer en het blijft een heerlijke gemoedelijke en rustige camping waar je echt even bij kunt komen. Vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Net sanitair, met zeker een verbetering door de nieuwe mooie sanitairblokken. Het zwembad was voor de kinderen erg prettig. Onze complimenten voor de camping voor de verzorging van de Covid-19 richtlijnen.

Liked - mooie camping en goed verzorgd.
Disliked - het is elke keer een stukje rijden om wat te doen, vanaf de camping zelf is er niet binnen loopafstand heel veel te ondernemen. neemt niet weg dat er genoeg te doen is!

Liked - Fijne zwembaden, hele grote ruim staanplaatsen, vriendelijk personeel, mooi uitzicht, babybadje in sanitairgebouw
Disliked - Sanitair niet altijd schoon (net voor hoogseizoen), bij toiletgebouw geen mogelijkheid om baby neer te leggen/om te kleden, geen broodjesservice net voor het hoogseizoen
