At camping La Grappe Fleurie you'll be camping in the middle of the Beaujolais vineyards. The campsite is located in this southern part of Burgundy in the rural surroundings of the village of Fleurie, sixty kilometres above Lyon. Here you'll find spacious touring pitches in the shade of large trees, but you can also spend the night - all in style - in a wine barrel. The indoor heated swimming pool is especially fun for children.

Neat camping

The layout of the campsite is very well-organized: the touring pitches are arranged in a few rows. Between the touring pitches there are full hedges, which separate the spacious lawns. Each pitch is accompanied by a large tree, so you will always have a shady spot. Especially on the outer row the touring pitches offer a beautiful view of the vineyards.

Sleeping in a wine barrel

Compared to twenty-five rental accommodations, the almost sixty touring pitches are in the majority. Nevertheless, the range of accommodations is quite diverse. In addition to chalets, you can spend the night in a cottage tent (half cottage, half tent) and a wine barrel.

Covered and heated swimming pool

Walk all the way to the back of the campsite and you'll find the swimming. This heated swimming pool is covered, but open at the sides. Especially the children can be found in the rectangular pool, which is also suitable for swimming laps.

Simple facilities

Camping La Grappe Fleurie has many characteristics of a small-scale campsite: the spacious touring pitches, the rural location and the simple amenities. Fresh baguette is available at the reception and in the evenings during high season a food truck provides pizza. Sanitary facilities are plentiful, but a bit outdated.

Travelling party: Seniors

Liked - Stayed for an overnight stop on the way to the South. Ideally situated just 15mins from motorway in a semi rural location. We met with the owner Marie upon arrival and thank her for generous hospitality. A good clean and spacious site with a variety of accommodation. Nice pool, just what was needed after a long drive. Would visit again and highly recommend.

Liked - Stephane and Marie are absolutely top hosts and though the campsite is good I would declare them the best asset! Nothing appears too much for them and they enjoy making sure that their visitors get the best experience possible within their area, which they love to show off to those willing to explore.
Ideally located for visiting the Beaujolais wine region. Seek their guidance to optimise your experience!
Disliked - The only thing I would like to see is an improvement in is the ventilation in the shower block.

Liked - A peaceful, well maintained site with great facilities. We stayed as part of a Go-Pod micro tourer rally of 14 Go-Pods and everyone had such a great time! Everyone made us very welcome and we upgraded to a private bathroom which was fantastic. Wonderful swimming pool, in house bakery and the site’s info app was the best we’ve seen.
Disliked - Everything was superb.

Liked - Very friendly when we arrived, lots of information. Our pitch was very good and we found toilets and showers very clean. Site is very close to a very pretty village. The site arranged a visit to a vineyard for us which was excellent. We would definitely stay again.

Liked - The pitches were close to each other but all had lovely hedges in between , some work was being done on the shower and toilet blocks but the ones that were open were ok.
A lovely bonus was free wine tasting on some nights (take your own glass).

The swimming pool was really lovely, a great size to swim in.

Liked - From collecting our wine at reception to the overall care and attention to detail on site I would think this is one of the most professional well managed sites where I have stayed. The location affords ease of access to explore local wine growers and when on site the pool and other services are first class. We used a camper van and we stayed on a premium pitch which was quiet and we also had access to our own bathroom and shower area which is very nice to have, particularly on the days where the temp was 30 degrees C. The staff are always very friendly and helpful.

Liked - We stayed on a pitch with our camper, we selected the offer of a private bathroom and the wine basket tour. The facilities are clean, and the site is well organised @ professional. The pool area is immaculate and the receptionist staff were very helpful and can organise ordering bread or booking wine tours and a place in the Michelin star restuarant in the village which is a 15 min walk. It’s also possible to hire bicycles and an electric car which is very French and funky.
It is a very quiet site but there’s a children play area. you can use a QR code to order food to your site.
Disliked - Fix the vending machine it is very slow and it would not accept any card or cash each time as the transaction failed over a number of days. I mentioned it at reception and they said they would contact the tech team.
