The quiet family campsite La Forêt, as the name suggests, is located near a beautiful forest. The well maintained campsite is close to one of the most beautiful loops in the Seine near Jumièges, a historic village on the beautiful river. In the vicinity you will find a vast nature area with lots of forests, villages and towns, through which the Seine winds her way.

Camping with shade and privacy

You will see at a glance that the grounds are well-tended. The spacious pitches, varying in size (100 to 200 m2) but always spacious enough, are located along streets. Depending on your wishes you can choose between a pitch with or without facilities (as electricity and water). The pitches are demarcated with high beech hedges, a guarantee for privacy. You can also rent a tent, a mobile home or trekker hut at Camping de la Forêt.

All amenities for a perfect holiday!

There is a small, covered swimming pool (60 m2) with sliding roof and a lovely toddler pool with a few slides and a small rock (30 m2). The water in both pools is nicely heated. There is playground for children, but no entertainment programme. You can play table tennis on the campsite and make use of the pétanque court. You can play tennis for a fee.

Fresh bread

The campsite shop has a limited assortment, but you can buy the most essential groceries. The baker delivers daily fresh bread on order. In peak season you can also get take-away meals, such as pizzas, French fries and snacks. There is a large supermarket at some four km from the campsite.

Jumieges village with its amazing Abbey is a 10 min walk from this campsite as are many walk/runs in the forest.
I’ve read some negative comments about the check in staff but I found the lady polite, helpful and with good English. The poor woman seems to do nearly everything, however, turning from reception to bar to taking bread orders all afternoon and evening. So you might need to be a little patient!
The site itself has decent sized pitches which are easily accessed - our 8m motorhome had no problem. The pitches are surrounded by beech hedges so you are very private. The main toilet block is quite new and very clean. The swimming pool looked nice.
We would definitely return here, especially as a stop off to or from any of the ferry ports.
There is a snack bar open for a couple of hours in the evening (except Friday) doing pizzas, chicken and chips which were tasty and not too expensive. There’s a little bar which had an entirely random selection of drinks when we were there, depending on what they’d been able to get delivered!
Great value for money in July.

Ruime plaatsen, rustige sfeer.

Camping is prachtig: veel groen, goed onderhouden.

Stopped here heading south for a night - large pitch, good showers and wcs, very helpful reception and nice bread in the morning, delivered to site. End of season, outside school holidays, so nice and quiet but hedges between pitches provide seclusion with a mix of tents, caravans and Motorhomes this time of year.
Ferry across the Seine just through the village okay for short overhang motorhomes with good clearance.....and free saving a long diversion upstream to bridge.

Under no circumstances attempt to go into campsite when reception is closed for lunch... we tried and the most obnoxious and rude staff came out and gave us a load of verbal. So no way were we going to stay there and never would. I would rather sleep in a lay-bye!!!!

A well-run site with large serviced pitches. It is well worth the detour from the autoroutes if you want to avoid Rouen or Paris.
Interesting area with abbeys, scenic drives by the Seine and very good restaurants.
