Campsite Seasonova Les Mouettes ***

General information

Camping Seasonova Les Mouettes is situated between the port cities of Calais and Le Havre. A short footpath is all that separates you from the Atlantic Ocean. Les Mouettes is a quiet camping site on top of a hill from where you can enjoy the magnificent view of the sea. The charming village of Veules-Les-Roses with a small river, a water mill and quaint shops, is in close proximity.

Tent on stilts

On the camping site you are allowed to choose your own pitch in low season, but this does not apply in peak season. The pitches are rather compact and there is little room to manoeuvre, camping guests with rather large caravans have to take this into consideration. The pitches are laid out both in long rows and on fields. Hedges and shrubs demarcate the sites. Want to rent something? Choose between a mobile home or a tent on stilts.

Chalk cliffs within walking distance

The covered, rectangular camping site swimming pool is located next to a terrace. Around the pool are loungers and there is also a toddler pool. Rather explore the tempestuous Atlantic Ocean? After a 300 m walk from the camping site, you will reach the high chalk cliffs.

Entertainment for all

With free access to the fitness room as well as the municipal sports fields adjacent to the camping site, camping guests can really indulge themselves. There is a small playground for children, a mini club and a recreation area with a table tennis and pool table, a table football game and a pinball machine. You can relax in the wellness area with sauna, spa and a choice of massages.

Snack bar

Feel like a quick snack? You can order snacks from the snack bar (with terrace) in peak season. Looking for restaurants? If so, you can go to the esplanade or to the centre of Veules-Les-Roses.

Travelling party: Couple

Stayed here in mid May but a lot of facilities were closed or on restricted hours. Pitches were large. Daily bread, etc. delivered. Facilities for water and disposal of grey water poor. Location however was brilliant. Close to pleasant village (use footpath from canons across the road) and walks along the cliffs in both directions.

Nice campsite, very friendly staff. Pitches quite small, but quiet and sheltered. Toilets ok, no toilet seat but I guess that is to be expected in France. Facilities kept clean. Short walk to lovely little town, and beach, great stopover but may get bored after more than a couple weeks

We chose this campsite as it was not very far from Dieppe where we had taken the ferry to. The location was ideal for us in many respects, distance from Dieppe, exploring the area and close to the coast. We were able to walk into the town from the camp site which we also find very handy. The facilities were good, toilets were clean and well maintained and the showers too were well maintained and cleaned at regular intervals. Plenty of hot water and space in the showers to hang towels and clean clothes.

A pleasant site. Our van is 7.5 m long and access to our pitch was a bit tight. That said, the pitch was spacious. The site it situated on the cliff top and it really is a short walk to a well maintained path the winds down the white cliffs the town of Veules Les Roses. France\'s shortest river flows through the village and spills out onto the beach. The village appeared to have at least one of everything the holiday-maker might need: cafes, butcher, baker, post office, chemist. I hope to stay here again in 2016.

Pool excellent - extremely warm. Reception closed 1 hour early on Sunday 21st June - no note or explanation so could not get information. Some sites difficult access for caravans unless a motor mover fitted. Reception poorly manned & phone ALWAYS took precedence over queuing clients. Bread could be ordered for the next morning for collection at reception but not told this on arrival. Although clean the toilets & shower facilities seemed to be constantly cleaned during peak periods of use so never sure which blocks to use. Lack of toilet paper seems poor. Water points few & far between making filling onboard water tanks difficult with many trips with buckets/watering cans. Delightful little village but beware everywhere shuts on Tuesdays - nice market on Weds.Several nice restaurant & bistros. Nearest supermarket 5 miles away plus others further afield. Would go again but other 3 star campsites in the ACSI book have been better.

Have to agree with a previous comment that this site is very over rated. We stayed for 1 night in the middle of June and only half of the toilet and washing up facilities were open. These were not overly clean and at the washing up area there was no hot water. Not impressed and we shall not return.

Very good campsite. The village is within walking distance and well worth a visit. Easier to reach by crossing over the road to where the WW2 guns are and using the cliff path. Very good walking map showing the village highlights. Swimming pool like a bath. Only small downside some of the pitches are a bit tight to get on. Bus route outside site to visit Dieppe etc. but somewhat problematic timetable at least in September when we were there.

We intended using site for a stopover, but ended up staying for over a week! Then a month later we returned for a further 4 nights. It\\\'s a lovely site with incredible views as you wander into town via the cliff path. Super weekly market and wonderful walks by the river and watercress beds.

We arrived here early June 2014. Reception staff were helpful BUT on the morning of 05 June after a stormy night when few people can have slept well a JCB and road roller arrived to repair roadways at 07.30 am with consequent noise and disruption. Many people packed up and left. Why could this job not have been done before the holiday season in the winter months? One of the worst camping experiences in over 35 years of visiting France! Would not recommend.

The management of this site we thought was poor. Some pitches would certainly not accommodate medium to large caravans. The location was good, but in our opinion the site was overated
