Nommerlayen is a large campsite in the heart of Luxembourg, highly suitable for active campers, especially for families with children of all ages. There is plenty to do in terms of sport, play and fun on the water, and adults can enjoy a range of wellness facilities. The area is also highly suited for activities: visit castles and cities or hike and cycle through the surprisingly pristine nature.

Camping or renting?

Nommerlayen is a large campsite with many centrally-located amenities such as a swimming pool and catering facilities. The further you camp from this central part, the quieter the campsite gets. The camping pitches provide the necessary privacy thanks to the hedges and differences in height. The flat portions have larger pitches but less of a nice view.

There is plenty of rental accommodation on Europacamping Nommerlayen. These include luxury furnished mobile homes, cottages, chalets and hire tents, all spread out in groups over the site.

From toddler pool to Turkish steam bath

The campsite offers something for everyone: entertainment for children, a heated 50-metre bath and well-organised sport activities. In addition to the 50-metre bath, you can have fun in the water in a playful outdoor swimming pool. There is also a lovely water playground for toddlers and infants. A number of deckchairs can be found along the side. The wellness area with solarium, sauna, Turkish steam bath, whirlpool and fitness equipment is very special.

A nice glass of wine on the terrace

There is a small supermarket on the campsite in which you can buy essentials. Fresh bread is available in the mornings, although reservation is recommended. It is also advisable to make a reservation for the popular restaurant. The fantastic wine menu is especially delightful. You can also sit at the bar or on the large, cosy terrace.

Liked - Zeer vriendelijk balie personeel
Geweldig zwembad
Mooi terrein
Heel goed verzorgd
Heerlijk modern sanitair.
Disliked - Zwembad buiten is erg koud.
Je zit vrij ver van een plaatsje en dus winkels.

Liked - Het was heel fijn om te kunnen wandelen vanaf de camping op het Muhler thal pad.
Het sanitair is mooi en goed verzorgd.
Het zwembad overdekt is in de herfst echt een pluspunt.

Liked - Leuke camping midden in Luxemburg. We hebben hier overnacht op de terugweg naar huis vanuit de Ardèche.
Disliked - Bij aankomst zou de stroom werken maar helaas moest deze na een wandeling terug naar de receptie eerst gereset worden voor het functioneerde. Al met al ben je dan al snel een halfuur aan tijd kwijt. Bijzonder dat de toiletten in de nacht gesloten zijn er een nachttoilet is waar het ontzettend koud is in de ochtend. Daarbij kwam dat de toiletten pas ruim na 7.00 uur in de ochtend geopend werden.

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

Van 1 tot 11 aug op deze camping gestaan in een tent.
Op het stuk waar wij stonden was het elkedag weer een komen en gaan van caravans die op doorrijs waren.
Verder vonden wij de camping niet geschikt voor een gezin met jonge kinderen. Die van ons zijn 5 en 9. Speeltuin is aanwezig, maar echt alles is kapot waardoor er eigenlijk niet gespeeld kon worden. Bij het terras is een luchtkussen en een vulkaan. Deze waren echt veel en veels te druk, en er was totaal geen toezicht.
Ook zo de camping na 23:00 stil moeten zijn. Dit gebeurde ook niet. Veel en hoop luidruchtig geschreeuw en ook wederom geen controle of toezicht.
Sanitair gebouw was 2xper dag dicht voor schoonmaak. De douche en wc waren dan ook netjes en schoon. Wel heel erg verouderd en zeker de douchekoppen zijn hard aan vervanging toe. Water spoot alle kanten op.

Op de camping mag je met de auto. Maar veel auto’s rijden echt hard. Levens gevaarlijk met all kinderen die daar rondrennen.

Zwembad buiten was erg koud en t pierenbad staat apart op het terras. Het ook heel erg onhandig.

Al met al vonden wij het een camping geschikt voor de oudere kinderen. Vanaf een jaar of 12. Animatie is ook gericht op de oudere kinderen.

prachtige camping. veel te doen voor de kinderen. ook een prima bus verbinding naar het treinstation. om vanuit daar naar luxemburg stad te kunnen. wij komen zeker weer een keer terug.
