The LandClub Ruinen camping site is located in the hamlet of Engeland on the edge of the Dwingelderveld national park, a vast heathland landscape between the charming villages of Ruinen and Dwingeloo. Ruinen is a village with a green, restaurants and a supermarket. Also worth a visit: the vast heathlands and woods and the many typical Drenthe villages around the camping site.

Camping or glamping?
The LandClub Ruinen is spaciously laid out with play equipment in the fields in the shelter of the forest. The pitches are at least 100 m2 large and consist of grassland over sandy soil. You can choose from a basic comfort pitch, a basic comfort pitch with private bathroom facilities or a luxury comfort pitch. Thanks to the layout of the fields, you almost always have enough privacy.
Rental accommodation
The camping site rents out a great variety of accommodations, from safari tents and cottages, to what are called Drenthe 'kappen' (little farmhouses). New are the luxury lodges that are available all year round and which are equipped with every possible amenity.
Activities
The camping site has a large indoor swimming pool with a large wellness area and a separate paddling pool. The pool is always 28 degrees and the indoor temperature is even a few degrees higher. This way, it always feels comfortable when you get out of the water. Outside is a lovely sunbathing area. The municipal swimming pool is also next to the camping site and has three more baths and high water slides (for a fee). In the high season, there is entertainment for children and adults, and guided hiking tours through the beautiful surrounding nature are organised. After all these exertions, you can of course stop by the brasserie or terrace café.
