Camping Warnsborn js a pleasant site surrounded by woodland run by a most helpful couple Margo and Felix. Margo especially takes time to explain the local attractions and how best to visit them. We used the excellent local bus service to travel into the centre of Arnhem and then out to the Airborne museum in Oosterbrook and the Openluchtmuseum, a museum of old Dutch life and buildings rather like a rural version of the Beamish Museum in Co. Durham. If you like art, the Kroller-Muller museum is not too far away, with a huge collection of van Gogh paintings. It was lovely at the end of each day to come back to the Camping Warnsborn which richly deserves to high ratings it gets from those who stay there.
Just left this lovely site and already booked for next year. Immaculately clean a very well laid out. It has some quirky little ways of doing things but that’s what camping is all about. It caters for all types of campers, taking everybody’s needs into consideration. Very friendly staff who are warm and welcoming. Ideally situated for town and other local attractions.
Stayed for 3 nights great place to stay Margo and Felix are very friendly and helpful good value for money, toilets and showers always clean, good bus links and even better for bikes ideal for trip into Arnhem and Oosterbeek, Airborne museum and Burgers zoo well worth a visit.
If your going to Arnhem or anywhere near stay here! 20 minute bus ride into town from bus stop 500yards away. Great helpful staff. An incredible forest totally surrounds the site, you can hire bikes or c walk for days. Kroller-Muller museum in the huge National Park is not cheap but is an essential visit even if you're only slightly interested in art. Must try to stay here again. Close to the Airborne Museum at Oosterbeek another essential visit.
We stayed here for two nights at end of September 2016. It's a well maintained campsite with lots of interesting wee extras. The library building is geogeous. Our fridge freezer had stopped working with gas & the owner was extremely helpful in finding someone to look at it. The location is in beautiful woodland with lots of walking/ cycling. While there you must pay a visit to the Arnhem museum at the bridge. It's so interesting. A new and bigger one is due be opened next year.
Just returned home from a 10 night stay, I would fully recommend this site, very friendly staff, clean facilities and good Internet coverage. The site is situated on the edge of a forest which provides a great location for walking and cycling. Arnhem is a lovely city with excellent shops, bars and resturants. It's really easy to cycle into Arnhem or catch the bus which runs every 30 mins. You will have a great holiday here !!!
We camped here in our motorhome, intending to stay 2 nights, to allow time to visit Arnhem (an easy cycle ride). It is such a good site, in very pleasant woodland surroundings, that we doubled our time here, and would have stayed longer were it not already fully booked.
The welcome was good, friendly and helpful, with lots of information and advice.
The site may appear large, from the number of pitches, but it is subdivided by trees and hedges, which also helps with shade.
The toilet facilties coped well despite the site having lots us camping here and everything is kept clean and tidy.
The are many paths and cycle routes right outside the campsite.
It was suitable for people our age (retired couple) and also for families, with plenty of facilities for children.
There is good wifi coverage around the site (at additional charge).
I recommend this campsite without hesitation.
Had a great week at this site, it is well run and well organised and everywhere is kept very clean. The site was full but it never felt overcrowded. We where in an area of the site with other couples, whilst family's where allocated to a different area close to the playground which lots of children really seemed to enjoy most of the time. We would highly recommend this site to all who would like to visit the area. We especially enjoyed the National Park, the white bikes and the Van Gough exhibition. The Airborne museum and the War Cemetery where excellent and very moving.
This is a simple but really lovely site. We stayed in June 2012. Set in a wooded area, there are places for the kids to play, a good playground with free bikes etc. There are separate areas of the site divided by trees so you feel as if there are only a few others near you.
The toilet and washing facilities are kept spotlessly clean - just slightly irritating to have to buy tokens for the shower. The owners are very friendly and helpful and there are lots to do and see in the surrounding area.
We intend to visit again - so it must be good!!
