Sustainable camping

On this campsite, you can come with your tent, camper or caravan. There is a separate field for tents, and for campers and caravans, there are designated pitches available. Those who do not have their own camping equipment are welcome to stay in one of the colourful wagonettes or in an eco-cabin. In the summer this is a campsite where you will meet backpackers from all over the world.

Go wild

You can be active both around and on the campsite. For example, the campsite is located on the IJmeer lake. There is a sandy beach and the water is suitable for swimming. There are also several beautiful running, skating, cycling and sailing routes from the campsite. Children are bound to make some quick holiday friends here and have a great time at the children's farm.

Everything right on site

During your camping holiday, you are provided with all conveniences. Next to the reception, you will find a supermarket and a cosy square with a terrace and a café-restaurant. Here you can have breakfast, lunch, dinner or a nice drink by the fireplace. You can cook for yourself in the covered camping kitchen which is equipped with hotplates, refrigerators and a microwave. With the right harvest from the campsite's herb garden, you can season your pasta, soup or salad perfectly!

Travelling party: Group of friends

We were so excited to be arriving in Zeeburg. However, this initial impression was soon thwarted as we were aggressively told to “Shut up” and “Go away” by the security officer, just for showing a little emotion as our friend arrived at the site.
What’s more, we were also followed around the campsite by this employee, and closely supervised, prodded and pushed to “Go away” and “move on”. He incessantly told us that we’d be kicked out of our accommodation and we woke up to a note on our door, summoning us to reception. He had clearly convinced the staff of our “excitable” behavior as they totally backed him up and told us to leave “immediately”. Finally, we had to beg them for one more night (which was already paid for) otherwise we’d be homeless. They agreed, on the condition that we give them more money.
It is a shame because the ideology of the place seemed so insightful, fresh and chilled out. It turned out to be a very cold, strict, aggressive and two-faced camp.
Don’t make the same mistake we did…

Travelling party: Family with children, 12 - 18 years

This site is way over priced and they added on a preference and reservation charge and when I asked what this was I was told it was a local thing. Also the site is full of tents just plotted up all over the place there is a constant smell of skunk weed / cannabis even in the bar area which again drinks are over priced and as for the pitch we were allocated this was in a poor state and over grown grass there is only one chemical toilet at far end of site. I wouldn't stay here again if you paid me.

Travelling party: Seniors

Great site for visiting Amsterdam, three different tram services within 10 minute walking distance. Staff very friendly and helpful, everyone speaks English. New toilet facilities excellent. Great buzz to the place. Only downside is the noise from the nearby motorway.
