Camping Park Lijak Active Holidays is located in Western Slovenia, close to the Italian border, amidst vineyards and the green mountains of the Vipava valley. This modern camping site is a veritable paragliding paradise. The level camping site overlooks the Trnovo plateau. Lots of paragliders take off from there and, after a wonderful flight, land on camping site Park Lijak. With its sixty touring pitches, the camping site is rather small-scale and peaceful. There is a lovely grill restaurant (with roof terrace), where you can enjoy the taste of regional dishes and Slovenian wines.

Camping with beautiful view

On camping site Park Lijak you camp on an open terrain resembling a meadow. Some sixty non-demarcated pitches for tent, caravan or motorhomes are distributed among well maintained grassy fields, which are partly shaded by tall weeping willows and other trees. However, most pitches are in the sun and the stunning view of the mountain ridge at the back of the camping site is not obstructed by the trees. 

You can also stay in one of the mobile homes, even though the choice is limited. Unique are the so-called 'habitats sleeping quarters', offering a type of casemate accommodation.

Walking and cycling

The Vipava Valley, the part of Slovenia where the camping site is located, is a terrific walking and cycling area. Directly accessible from the camping site are walking trails and cycle routes of different levels of difficulty that lead you through forests, past vineyards and over hills. If you are a real biking fanatic, you will head for the rugged terrain on top of the Trnovo plateau on your mountain bike. The camping site offers cycling and walking arrangements, including two guided excursions and bed & breakfast.

Travelling party: Couple

Kanontrevlig ställe med enastående personal, egen vinkällare. Underbar mat serverades, även frukost för dom som ville, gick även att köpa färskt bröd. Lugnt och fridfullt på natten, hit återvänder vi gärna.
