You travel to the Lake Caspe camping site through the open plains of the Aragón region, alternated with agricultural and horticultural fields. Situated at the edge of the reservoir of Mequinenza (a quiet region in the North Spanish interior) Lake Caspe Camping is a green oasis. Camping guests for whom an ideal holiday consists of a combination of nature, peace and sporty activities, will find a paradise on this camping site.
Tranquillity prevails on Lake Caspe camping site. Even so, thanks to its location on the picturesque lake, there is lots to do for young and old. There are no villages or towns in close proximity, but amidst the sounds and colours of nature this is an excellent spot for swimming, fishing, kayaking, waterskiing, windsurfing, sailing, pedal boating, walking and cycling. The nearest town is Caspe which is less than a 10-minute drive by car.
Water and lake
Swimming a few laps in the spacious pool should be alternated with an ultimate relaxation moment on a lounger on the beautifully laid out lawn. Under the hot sun, which shines most of the year in this region, or in the shade of one of the many trees or under a thatched sun umbrella. In this attractively landscaped garden you can have a drink or a bite to eat.
Campers who bring their own boat can sail for hours on this vast lake which stretches over 100 km. The marina, which is located by the camping site, can be used by guests. The boat may also be parked on the pitch.

Needed to find a stopover between Bilbao and Barcelona and vaguely recalled the name of Caspe. Rung them up from the motorway services and the lady I spoke to was extremely helpful. Arrived to find a busy little site in the middle of nowhere with a lake to swim in. After a ferry and drive this was perfect! Decent enough place to eat with friendly staff and a busy little bar area. Apparently there was some good walks and off road cycling from the site so probably worth more than a night! Good value all round and then only a couple of hours drive to Tarragona / Barcelona along the national road through scenic countryside .
We spent there 8 nights, it was really amazing time. The swimming pool is fantastic, all facilities as well. All bathrooms and toilets were very very clean. My husband and the kids went fishing and caught plenty of fish. Unfortunately nobody (except the receptionist and the boss) speaks English, so we couldn't order anything in the restaurant. Apart from that everything else was so perfect. We will definitely visit the camping next year again ;)
This campsite is set in a great spot for outdoor folk. On the edge of the Mar de Aragon which is a 100 kilometre long reservoir the setting is perfect for fisher folk and good for walkers (GR99 passes the entrance) and those who like being away from it all. The welcome was very good indeed with good English spoken by reception staff. A small shop has ok basics and bread daily. The facilities are adequate and kept reasonably clean. We didn't try the restaurant though the menu looked ok for everyday fare. The bar - outdoors - was fine. Walking along the lake was really lovely when we were there and we would return to the area again. I guess the downside is that it is pretty isolated.
A great little site and not at all busy for early July. Pitches are a reasonable size, not cramped and with plenty of shade throughout the day. The only drawback is its remoteness from shopping facilities; it's a 15 minute drive in to Caspe (supermarkets closed on Sundays) so take plenty of food & drink though the on-site supermarket is stocked with essentials and the bar prices are VERY reasonable.
In general no entertainment but no problem, that\'s not what we go for. The same for sports facilities. Beautiful location. Fantastic site. Great mixture of people from 8 to 10 different nations.
it\'s an oasis in the middle of the dessert love staff, very good value for money lovely pool, right by a lake more suited to adventure families as its not near any towns stayed a lot longer than we booked come and try you won\'t be disappointed
We really loved this site. It is based on a beautiful lake in a beautiful area - do not miss it and it's a great stop on the way to the coast.
Pitches are ok and typical for Spain where you get an allocated space but there was plenty of shade.
The staff were all really friendly we had no issues and those in the shop and reception spoke great English.
The bar food was ok but really cheap. Ask for the Meal of the Day menu where you can get 3 courses, bread and wine really cheap!!
We hired a kayak on the lake for about 15 Euros for an hour and it was great fun. There are also 3 cycle routes from about 7Km to 20Km around the lake and its fairly level so anyone should be able to ride.
The pool area is really nice with nice lawns / shade and pretty wooden parasols and was not very busy.
Overall a great site.
This was a great campsite with lots on offer. (Considering it was in the middle of nowhere, a small oasis!) The pitches were fine and the restaurant was ok. ( sadly the paella was disappointing) I'm sure it would be very busy in high season but when we went it wasn't so lots of room. The swimming pool was beautiful (and empty) with loungers on a grassy surroundings. Sunny and shaded and well cared for and maintained. Just lovely. The lake was a nice distraction too. However....... beware the mosquitoes! We we're eaten alive during the evening and overnight. Be well prepared and it will be worth it.
We keep going back because it is so good. Always very relaxing and good friendly staff. Great attention to keep the site clean and tidy. Lovely tree cover to all pitches.
We\'re going to stop 2 nights but the pitches left to choose were very small and no way could you drive around site without going through trees it knocked my TV aerial off
Also really long walk to chemical disposal the staff were excellent and the food very good but for us 1 night sufficient
