City campsite Fuentes Blancas is ideally located for a visit to Burgos, a city steeped in history, evidenced today by a baroque cathedral and impressive archaeological museum. From the camping site you can cycle to the city centre along the beautiful Arlazón river. There is also a beach in the vicinity.
Shaded by deciduous trees
The camping site is mainly frequented by camping guests wanting to visit Burgos or for overnight accommodation. You can choose your own pitch on the woody, neat-looking grounds, which are level and offer ample shade. This is as a result of the many deciduous trees. The pitches are located on turf in rows along paved roads. Rental bungalows are available, if you do not have a tent, caravan or motorhome.
Shallow swimming pool
The rectangular (shallow) swimming pool in full sun is located in a corner of the camping site. The area around the swimming section is tiled. There are no loungers or sun umbrellas, but you can bring your own camping chair. There is a playground for children. Entertainment is offered in high season.
Reasonably priced dishes
The camping site has a bar-restaurant and a small shop. Each day, the restaurant offers one or two local dishes of good quality, which taste even better because they are reasonable in price. It can get pretty busy over weekends. Adjacent to the camping site is a large public barbecue area. The camping site shop stocks a reasonable selection. There is also a bread service.
The sanitary facilities are fine and are continuously kept spick and span. There are five ablution blocks spread over the camping grounds with facilities for babies.

Nos ha gustado mucho. El bungalow estaba muy bien equipado. Lo único malo es que la piscina era poco profunda y que la cocina del bar cierra muy pronto.
Pay in advance. Busy at reception. Girl was good. Muddy pitches after rain. For laundry you buy a timed ticked and report to Reception for a cleaner to do the washing. She unlocks the laundry door and you load the machine. She puts it into the tumble drier and you collect it 90 minutes later, all dry. The site is open till 11pm but most of the pitches are taken late afternoon. It is very well run but on first impression it is like a transit camp as most people just use it as a stopover. However, on our subsequent visit I didn\'t get that impression. Excellent 5km cycle route into Burgos alongside the river.
We stayed 13th to 15th June and
22nd to 25th June
Facilities in need of refurbishment and better cleaning.
This site gets very very busy. Reception efficient but not particularly friendly.
River walks and town very nice.
I would not stay here again.
A flat open site with grass pitches in lines. No separation between the pitches but most have some partial shade from the scattered trees.
Reception was poor. Staff were grumpy and unhelpful, probably because it is just a transit venue for visiting Burgos city. The shop and café/restaurant and bar are good.
You can walk into Burgos but it takes 30 minutes plus.
Toilet and showers as OK but dated. Hot water freely available. Wifi also available.
Overall a bit expensive for what it is but then if you just want to visit Burgos city it is an ideal site.
An open plan site under trees. Facilities were good with all the basic necessities required. Some good cycling but the planned trip along the river to Burgos was cancelled due to torrential rain. Evolution museum in Burgos is apparently well worth a visit although it is closed on a Monday.
This is a large dated site, the access is fine but don\'t follow SatNav unless you\'ve checked it is right. Access from the road is fine ample room for our 8m caravan. Staff at reception haphazard inefficient but got the job done fortunately spoke English. The site is large well ordered with bags of space so we overnighted as it was our transit site. Showers were hot and powerful but the place just flooded quite funny. The electric is close by but water is a long distance to walk. Wifi couldn\'t be used because Google Chrome didn\'t like it. Ok for a one night stop over. Aged and dated ACSI should find more sites close to Burgos.
Dated and over priced. The pool looks like it\'s been unused for years, full of algee and oil drums. The cafe is cheap and basic. Very good location for walking, cycling. Would not stay here again with so many good camps every where.
Water for dish washing was cold as were the showers. No fresh water taps near pitches for filling motorhomes. Not enough chemical emptying points for a site of this size. Laundry room door seemed to be locked at all times. To expensive for the condition of the facilities. I could go on but I don\'t think it will make any difference.
Very good camping
Shower block wonderful
Food good on site
Wi Fi non existence
Calling to reception on numerous occasions, no effort made other campers had same
Pity would have stayed longer
Toilet block warm with loads of hot water, somewhat dated and in need of refurbishment. Pitches fine, no hard standing. Out of season so very few facilities open, reflected in our ratings. An hours walk into Burgos along the riverside is very nice and the town is well worth exploring.
