We stayed here during Semana Santa and we\'re lucky enough to see the processions in the town of Tordesillas. this was our second stay in this site which is an easy drive from the Santander ferry port. The toilet and shower facilities here are second to none. Lots of pitches of various sizes and separated by hedges. Great to be able to walk in and out of the very interesting town, the Royal monastery is worth a visit as is the treaty museum. Lots of well priced restaurants in town.

Well what a really nice friendly bunch of staff !! We\'ve been a few places and haven\'t met any so nice ! Toilets and showers spotless with piped music ! And lots of places to walk the dog. The town was nice enough for a day visit - few museums.

El Astral is a good stopover and easy to access friendly helpful staff pitches are a good size and some are huge with grass.
Pool was closed when we visited apparently closes end of Sept but it looked nice . Shower block was clean and fairly modern. You can walk up into the small town there is a monastery and several museums and churches with a square with cafes.
A good stopover en route to Portugal or the south.
Would recommend.

A good site for a stop over with a 15 minutes walk into the town. Close to a river with a man made beach by the river. The entry to the site is a little off putting down an unmade road not well kept generally and could put people off.

The camp site is by the river the other side of the town. The showers are excellent and up to German standards. Free wifi by the bar, or you can pay for wifi on your pitch. Nicely laid out individual pitches. In March the place was near empty. Unfortunately, for us, what lets the site down is the town, it struggles to be interesting.

This site now ranks as one of our favourites. The approach is easy if you are used to Spain. It is sign posted from the roundabout on the main road and is down an un made up track but the track is wide, straight and without "potholes". Our seven metre twin axle was a breeze to access this site and then the pitch we choose was grassy and huge! Wi-Fi is very good at the bar but we didn't bother with anything further. We drank and ate at the bar. The service was good, friendly, helpful and the food was well above average for campsite bars, very reasonable priced as well. Tordesilla town is easily reached on foot from the site. We did it several times because we happened to be there Fiesta week. Access to the town is over a long river bridge and in the town there are excellent bars on the Placa Major serving very reasonably priced "Menu del Dia". Enjoy Tordesilla and El Astral!

This site was great all round with very friendly and helpful staff. The showers and washing facilities are excellent, and there are also ironing and clothes washing facilities. We found the access to be a bit difficult but the sites are very pleasant with a good shop and restaurant. The walk to the nearby town is very pleasant and we found Tordesillas to be a very pleasant and interesting place to look around.

We have stayed here in our motorhome twice on our way to southern Spain. It is a good first stop from Bilbao/Santander/Gijon ferries. Also very handy for walking into the town of Tordesillas which takes ten minutes, with a range of shops, bars and restaurants. There is a coach station with a good service to Valladolid too.
The showers and washing facilities are excellent, there are also ironing and clothes washing facilities.

The aproach to the campsite is somewhat offputting, however the site itself is quite nice, We went in April and had a huge pitch in a type of cul-de-sac, the showers and toilets were kept spotlessly clean during our stay.
We upgraded to 10 amp electricity and were charged an extra 5 euros a night which seemed too excessive.
It had a very friendly bar frequented mainly by locals but a short walk over the bridge takes you into the small town with bars and restaurants.
