After a quick visit last year to make sure it was suitable for my 85 year young mother we decided to come for 6 weeks and are not regretting it and we are booking for next year. Pineda has good travel links but is a little less commercial than its neighbour Callela. Enmar is a very short walk from town centre but an even shorter walk to the beach. There is a weekly Street market and a very noisy annual fair with fabulous fireworks to mark the end.
The family who own and manage this campsite take great pride in keeping it just so. It\'s very well situated close to the beach, though far enough away from the railway for that not to be intrusive. Local shopping/restaurants are within an easy walk. Our only criticism would be the lack of hot water in the wash basins in one of the two male toilet blocks (though fine in the other). We intended to be there for 6 nights, actually stayed for 12 and even then regretted leaving. Says it all. We rate this site highly and will certainly return.
We had a lovely stay here and enjoyed the campsite. The pool is great and had plenty of space around it. Very close to the beach and other amenities.
Lovely well maintained site Generous pitches Family owned and exceptional helpful service Can’t do enough for you
Have stayed here on four separated occasions and will be back
Recommend you give this site a try !
A lovely family run campsite on the edge of town and close to the sea. A very friendly and helpful welcome on arrival. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our few days stay (5 nights). However, while the toilet facilities were OK, the showers are a bit outdated and on the small side. There seemed only to be cold water at the wash basins. We used the bar / restaurant only once because the steps up to it were too many and too steep for us. Along the seafront, however, there are many restaurants and bars in between the host of tourist hotels. The mini market on site held a small but useful stock ~ and the bread was delicious! There is, however, a large Consum supermarket in town, about 15 minutes walk from the camping. The beautiful sandy beach is about a 10 minute walk from the camping to the nearest access under the railway line. The Friday market (which runs along the sea front ~ town side of the railway line) is well worth a visit for the wonderful stalls offering vegetables, fruit, cheeses, meat etc.
Nice campsite with very friendly owners. They Can help you with small or big problems.
Second visit, and this time we stayed for 12 days. A much better site than gained from first appearances. Located right in the town, but is nonetheless safe and secure. In fact we left our motorhome for three days while we visited friends in Barcelona. Pitches flat and sandy, many large enough for big motorhomes. Individual fresh water and electricity facilities.
The town itself has more to offer than it appears. Just walk about. Market on Friday next to the campsite. Santa Suzanna is within hearty walking distance, with Lidl and a hypermarket. Or one stop on the train. Calella one stop in the train in the opposite direction, or an easy walk. Big market there on Wednesday.
We arrived thinking of a couple of days stay but left over three weeks later! Admittedly superb October weather was a major factor but the campsite is excellent. The ablutions block is constantly cleaned during the day. The swimming pool is excellent but was a bit on the cool side after rain (other than one wet day , the rain only occurred at night. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There is a train every half hour to Barcelona with the last one back at 11.00 pm. The beach, 100m away, is about 10km long and backed by a cycle/footpath. The site is actually in a Spanish rather than a tourist town with all the shops etc that you would expect. I am sure that we will be back.
Toilets immaculate, though toilet paper is not provided so don't get caught short here.
Showers clean and lots of hot water.
Hand basins sparkling, but there is no soap or drying facilities(towels or dryers)
Pitches somewhat cramped and many taken up by long stay caravans and tents creating a crowded feeling. There is little to divide pitches, so no privacy whatsoever.
The restaurant is excellent and great value and the sangria on your first visit is a nice touch. All staff really friendly and helpful.
A great base for exploring further afield, though there is not much to do I. Pineda itself.
Very helpful and friendly staff very clean toilets/showers with plenty of hot water even though the site was busy as we were there at the weekend it was kept very clean and tidy East stroll into town would use again
