Too many permanent pitches spoilt the site. Looked very much like a gypsy encampment. However it is right on the beach. Only stayed one night.
We visited at the end of April so very little in the way of shop bar and restaurant open. Bread on request at the bar only. Site and pitches ok but too many static vans ghetto style for comfort. Nice if you can get a seafront pitch.
Very welcoming, easy to find, family run campsite right on the waterfront. ACSI book states 155 touring pitches - actually only about 55 are available as the rest have permanent caravans all year. If you choose a waterfront pitch, be aware that the noise level of the sea can be very disturbing at night.
We stayed here last September for £ weeks. Perfect position by the edge of the sea. Greatly recommend it for relaxing. Very quiet at this time of year. Would definitely recommend, in fact have booked same pitch for this year.
A one nighter if ever there was one. No hot water at the sinks and the very bad showers blocks had a 20 cent meter on the outside if you wanted a hot shower. Bar area and shop quite pleasant but the restaurant was closed early Sept. Great big factory on the beach half mile away. Noisy during the night
Site was alongside the shore, but the shore was rocky and it was very difficult (dangerous) to enter the water when there was an on-shore swell. The plot was an unusual shape, long and thin, not ideal for an awning. On site shop sold basic needs.
Beautiful location, right on pebbly beach. The pitch was right on seafront as well. A quiet location and though it was the last night of the season, I still would go again. The hot electric showers take coins. However, the showers aren't great and need some attention.
