We planned to stay at this site but 95 percent of pitches were taken by permanent structures and the whole of the area covered in canvas or trees. The few spaces that were available were inaccessible. We did not stay.

A campsite which is made up, in the main, with permanent structures with limited number of tourist pitches. Pitches available were on the large size although heavily shaded and access is tight. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves but the partying did go on to the wee small hours. The surrounding area was not particularly interesting unless one wished to partake in a spa. To see people wandering around in their terry bathrobes in the street was in itself interesting! Herves is worth a visit when the street market is on.

Travelling party: Couple

This site is ideally placed for visiting the lovely town of Herves and the spa town of Banos de Montemayor. The site is of a very high standard although the sanitary facilities are a bit dated. They are very clean and good to use. The bar has good food facilities used a lot by the “locals” Prices reasonable. Reception staff welcoming and helpful. We would use it again.

This is a very interesting and beautiful area of Spain and can be recommended however this site can only be called an emergency night halt only. On arrival reception was first class and the pool and the green grassed area around it was encouraging however our pitch was sandwiched between permanent caravans, with 5 metre mesh awnings making any views impossible, and a row of very tasteful camping chalets. The pitches that were available were little more than a parking area for these chalets. The restaurant produced possibly the poorest meal I have ever encountered in Spain. The showers and toilets were clean but due to the large numbers using the site it is starting to look worn out need of some refurbishment.
