In central Spain, just south of Madrid, lies Camping Internacional Aranjuez. It is in a central location, convenient for exploring the versatile region. The Rio Tajo river, which flows behind the camping site, is located between the enormous park of the Royal Palace of Aranjuez and the camping site. It is a 30-minute walk to this most important landmark of Aranjuez. The capital can easily be reached by public transport.

Shade and comfort

There is definitely a suitable pitch for each camper on the camping site. There are three different types of pitches in terms of size, on a surface of grass or pebbles and demarcated with hedges and vegetation. When you enter the camping site, the comfort pitches can be found on the right hand side of the grounds. The level of shelter on the touring pitches is variable as is the presence of a private tap. There is a separate street with twenty wooden bungalows suitable for 5 persons. The camping site also has 10 rooms available for rent.

Fun in the water

The swimming pool complex consists of three beautiful pools. The shallow children's pools are equipped with nice play equipment and several slides. After a city visit it is a great place to relax in the sun or in the shade. From your easy chair it is only a few steps to the nearby bar. At times during the summer months some entertainment is offered near the pool during the day. The lifeguard keeps an eye on the children and is in charge of the First Aid post.

Just passing through and still here one more night. The camping area is only about 30% full which is very surprising for this time of year. But when you have the locals without vans coming to the site and being waited on hand an foot I’m not surprised. Went today for a few drinks with wife and two kids today before ordering food. Having been told to take a seat and someone will be with me for the drinks order. Waited 10 min and guess what nobody appeared. Maybe that was because we were English spoken!! Can’t comment on food cause we got up and left. Can’t really fault the site but once a bad experience then always. Won’t be back

A brilliant find. It’s a 25 minute walk, through the park and gardens, to The Royal Palace and Aranjuez town and a further 15 minutes to the station: return fare to Madrid (Sol) is a little over EUR 8. Reception staff speak excellent English and arranged an appointment at a local motorhome dealers when our habitation door locks malfunctioned. On site Restaurant and food was good value for money. Stayed 7 nights - a long stay for us.

Great site for travelling north or south. Lovely town. Staff very friendly and helpful. Can get busy during local festive holiday periods but nevertheless a good site. Worth spending a few days visiting the local attractions.

An excellent site in a great location for Aranjuez and train access to Madrid. We received a very pleasant reception and stayed 3 nights on our way south. Good toilet facilities with plenty of hot water. The mini market on site was small but usefully stocked. We had one meal at the camp restaurant which we thoroughly enjoyed.

This is our third stay at this site. Always stop for a few nights to catch our breath before making our way south.
Their new toilet/washroom block is the best in Spain

Don’t ever go here in the weekends. You will be left reeling by the influx of droves of Spanish people who are noisy ( including the parents ) inconsiderate of other camping users.
What looked and was a nice campsite has turned into a zoo. Can’t wait to leave . And all quite excepted by the camp owners apparently.

Nice site with excellent pool complex and Toilet facilities. An interesting walk into the \'town\' through the ornamental gardens adjacent to the river. Lots of boating activity when we were there. We arrived just before a local Music Festival in the town somewhere - a mini Glastonbury - and as pitches were vacated, they were immediately filled with 4 small tents for the pre-booked revellers who started arriving in hordes the day before we left. We escaped just in time.

We came here to stay two nights before moving onto a campsite nearer Madrid. Found out we could walk to the station and get a train in for 4 euro into Madrid. However so impressed with Aranjuez town and the site stayed 8 nights, pitch 28 with river frontage, staff very helpful , shop has fresh bread and croissants every morning, toilets and showers the best we have experienced in Spain in our 6 weeks of travelling. This site is a must as , is the town which deserves at least two days worth of exploring, palaces, fountains and gardens are beautiful. ASCI card means that you can choose any pitch even though they have 3 sizes that normally demands a higher cost. Very busy at weekends so if travelling on spec as we were best to get in before Friday or as we did arrive late on Sunday, out of season. I imagine in July and August you would need to book. Swimming pool was having maintained during our stay but looked good lots of water slides, children’s play area also very good. On site Resturant also very popular.

Excellent facilities, spotlessly clean at all times. Staff very helpful. We needed a mechanic for our motorhome, and they arranged for one to come late that evening (it was a very wet night). Mechanic came with new part the next day and repaired our vehicle.
Shop on site - handy for fresh baguettes daily. Quiet site.
