Camping near Madrid and El Escorial

Outside the built-up area of the city of Madrid and in a green setting lies this beautiful family campsite. Capfun Camping El Escorial is a well maintained vacation park with touring pitches, permanent pitches, and rental accommodation. From the campsite, you can visit the old town of San Lorenzo de El Escorial by car within 15-minutes. This impressive complex of buildings was built in the 16th century by order of King Philip the second of Spain. Or would you prefer to soak up culture and shop in the big city? Within an hour’s drive, you are in the heart of Madrid.

Well maintained, large campsite

From the busy main road, turn towards the campsite. It is then easy to reach via a beautiful road through wooded area. Upon arrival at the campsite, you will be greeted by the friendly and professional reception staff. This campsite is known for its helpful staff with knowledge of several languages. The camping fields are spacious with plenty of shade from the large surrounding trees or awnings. Or would you prefer to opt for convenience and rent a comfortable vacation home? At Capfun Camping El Escorial, you can rent nice cottages or mobile homes.

Travelling party: Couple

Geweldig mooie ligging, kort bij Sevilla, prachtige mooie weg van 10 km om te fietsen naar de kust, 10 min lopen naar het dorp El raco met mooie zandwegen en vele terrassen en eetgelegenheden, ik ben hier 3 keer geweest met de groep camperreizen en hoop er zeker nog terug te komen, een aanrader voor iedereen.

Wij stonden hier met onze camper op 5 mei 2024. Erg rommelig en desolate indruk. Daarnaast de hele dag herrie van de betonboren terwijl we wel de hoofdprijs moedten aftikken. Niet naar toegaan dus!

terrein rommelig, plekken liggen vol met sigaretten peuken. Winkel beperkt open. Sanitair niet verwarmd, wat begin april niet aangenaam is.

Travelling party: Seniors

Grote camping (zeg maar rustig resort) met ongeveer 2000 plaatsen. Ook erg veel stacaravans op een andere zijde van de camping. Vriendelijk personeel. Camping is alleen te bezoeken als men vooraf via internet boekt en gedeeltelijk betaald. Het restant van de betaling moet gedaan worden bij het eerste bezoek bij de receptie.
Groot sanitair blok wat goed onderhouden wordt. Zwembad is gericht op kinderen.
Broodservice en winkel aanwezig en open.
In het weekend komen hier veel mensen uit Madrid, wat meer reuring geeft.
De paden aan de buitenzijde van de camping zijn stoffig en worden bereden door voertuigen.
Er kan veel gewandeld worden op als buiten de camping.

Kan door corona komen maar de camping viel ons erg tegen. Slecht verzorgd terrein met veel onkruid rondom de bomen. Er stonden tijdens ons bezoek nog 3 campers. Deel van de voorzieningen was niet open. Geen WiFi op de plaatsen.
