Camping La Manga lies in the south-east of Spain on the Mar Menor lagoon, which is separated from the Mediterranean by a narrow strip of land. There are sandy beaches on both sides. There are a few small islands in the salt water lagoon which is home to several bird species. There are also mud baths which supposedly have a therapeutic effect. In the vicinity of the camping grounds are many sights.

Stuck here because of Covid19 lock down but will try & base review on services/site facilities etc pre shutdown. C&CC winter rally taking most favourable touring pitches, site would have been dead otherwise. Most nice to haves like pool, bar & sports facilities shut for winter. Many touring sites visited travelling down Spanish east coast had all open. Toilet blocks old but clean, site security guys driving around regularly which was good. Been out of season very few kids around, mostly retired Brits\', Dutch & German guests. Many spending whole winter on site, weather/climate here excellent. Spar supermarket on site reasonably priced, we stayed using Acsi low season which was expensive with few things open (pre-lock down).
Visited Benidorm on way here, it was buzzing, heated pools, bars entertainment laid on.
Mar Menor inland sea poluted not advised to swim in.
Static pitches that make up half site resemble shanty town.
Most C&CC winter rally couples were repeat visitors, their club crew\'s appeared to do great job of keeping them busy.
Wouldn\'t come back to la Manga, whole area including playa Honda appears past sell by date.

After reading many reviews all of which were so different we thought we would visit the site to see for ourselves what it is like we summed it up with one word. Marmite and we don’t like marmite.

3rd stop in our Spain tour, we stayed 1 day and a half in this amazing camp. We would have loved to stay more but didn’t have the time. Excellent private and spacious pitches and very agréable and nice staff. Stunning location

Horrible place - we left as fast as possible. It did have a beach and palm trees but was on a lagoon, not the sea. Small, very trodden, dirty-looking beach; water shallow, warm and packed with people, even off-season. Safe for children. Ugly gravel pitches and old-fashioned facilities. Dirty, uncleared tables in restaurant. Yuk!

Ignore the shacks at the top of the site. Nothing wrong with them but you may initially think you’ve made a mistake.
Anyone who has been here before will tell you that this site is excellent.
Everyone is super friendly, people that you met on a previous visit are also back and they remember and acknowledge you.
Language is no barrier to the friendliness of the campers.
If you prefer privacy, every pitch gives you this.
The restaurant view is idyllic and a lovely place to have a meal or just a coffee.
You can walk or cycle around the area with like minded people or the beach is straight off the campsite.
If you like water sports or swimming in safe waters you will love this site.
The washrooms are spotless and cleaned regularly throughout the day
I have my favourites in the reception centre and my not so favourites, some are more helpful and friendly than others but no complaints overall.

Very good campsite, however a lot of chalets now being sited. Spar shop onsite food out of date, flies round rotting onions

Good campsite friendly staff toilets and showers cleaned 3 times a day. Reasonable food no Gordon’s gin this year. Spar shop on site make sure you check dates as products past sell by date, especially onions that were rotting and flies.

The campsite had excellent facilities, we had a serviced pitch with water waste drainage and electricity

First impressions are slightly alarming when confronted by ‘shacks’ but once settled onto a really nice and spacious pitch surrounded by like minded campers, the approach just became part of the holiday and caused no concerns whatsoever. The reception staff are friendly and go out of their way to be helpful.
The facilities were cleaned at least three times per day and were spotless and the cleaners were lovely, friendly people. The cafe/ restaurant was on the edge of the lagoon making it a great place to sit and eat/drink and the staff were great.
There are places to walk or cycle to with restaurants and bars along the way.
There is a Spar shop on site and the prices compare favourably with the larger supermarkets in town.
We had a fantastic holiday and cannot wait to return.

Campsite looks like a Shanty Town. Internet not very good on touring pitches. Touring pitches are not bad, quite big and private. Beach not nice at all, muddy not sandy. No shade around swimming pool and nothing to sit on or sunbathe .Recommended to us but we were not impressed. Will not be visiting it again.
