Camping Santa Monica is located in Raron, in the stunning Rhône Valley in the Swiss canton of Valais, a region filled with high mountains such as the Aletsch Glacier and picturesque alpine towns. The campsite is an excellent starting point for outings to the glacier, the Simplon Pass and the towns of Zermatt and Saas Fee.

Neatly maintained site

The campsite offers well-maintained annual pitches and tourist pitches in three categories, including five-star pitches with private water connection and some with private toilet and washing facilities. There are also mobile homes available, with free wifi on all pitches and in the accommodation.

Lots of fun in the water

A sunny swimming pool and a paddling pool offer lots of water-based fun, and the Löübbach, a stream behind the campsite, is ideal for children to play in. Furthermore, there is a playground, sports facilities, an indoor recreation room and an entertainment programme in the summer.

Own restaurant and shop

The campsite restaurant serves a mix of international and regional dishes, including Swiss specialities. There is a supermarket with a wide selection, including the possibility to order fresh bread, next to the restaurant.

Two well-maintained toilet blocks

There are two well-maintained toilet blocks with individual washing cubicles, a baby area and facilities for the disabled.

Enjoy the versatile Swiss alpine landscape

The campsite is in a lovely valley in a rugged mountain range, ideal for those seeking peace and quiet, nature lovers and walkers. Nearby attractions are the Aletsch Glacier, the Simplon Pass and popular towns such as Zermatt and Saas-Fee, all within 40 minutes by car. There are numerous walking routes and cable cars in the area, as well as an impressive suspension bridge at Raron.

Der Platz war sehr schön; mit strom und wasser. Leider die Reserverationsgebühr finden wir nicht angemessen.

Wir waren schon mehrere male auf dem Camping und auch dieses Jahr wieder für 10 Tage. Der Platz die Sanitären Anlagen und das Personal ist wie immer Top und Freundlich. Was jedoch sehr schade ist, dass das Camping Restaurant zu Wünschen lässt. Das Essen meist aus der Friteuse ist nicht wirklich ein Genuss und sehr Lieblos angerichtet. Kenne viel besseres aus früheren Aufenthalten.

Waren drei Wochen auf dem Camping. Er ist gut gelegen für diverse Sportaktivitäten (Wandern, biken, Ausflüge in die Bergwelt etc) das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, Sauberkeit wird groß geschrieben, die Standplätze sind sehr groß, Einkauf im nahe gelegenen Detailgeschäft deckt alle Wünsche ab.
Ein Platz den man vorbehaltlos empfehlen darf.

Für uns ein super Campingplatz für Wandern,Velofahrten. Bahnhof zu Fuss in 8bis 10 Min.ereichbar.Freudliches Betreiberpaar, auskunft-und hilfsbereit. Wir waren das zweitemal da und es wird nun unser alljährlicher Campingplatz werden.

Sehr angenehmer und professionell geführter Campingplatz mit grossen Parzellen - je nachdem wo man zu stehen kommt. Infrastrukturen sind tadellos. Toiletten stets sauber. Angenehme Athmosphäre auf dem ganzen Platz. Extrem viele Wander- und Bikemöglichkeiten. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.
