Blossom Touring & Camping Park is situated in the hilly landscape around Abergavenny in Wales. At this quiet Welsh campsite you'll camp in a former orchard. The view from your pitch is impressive, overlooking the hills of Brecon Beacons National Park. The Black Mountains, situated close to the campsite, are a great challenge for walkers. For your shopping and cultural excursions, Abergavenny is a beautiful destination.

Camping in an orchard with a view

More than eighty pitches are situated in the pear and plum orchard of this campsite. They are beautiful, green pitches fenced off by fruit trees. You have to share the campsite with quite a lot of regular guests. They are mainly seniors who have found their permanent camping spot in the orchard. These yearly returning campers mainly come from Great Britain.

Abergavenny Market Hall

There are not many facilities at this campsite in Wales. However, there is a sanitary building with sufficient sanitary facilities at the entrance. You'll find everything else you need in Abergavenny itself. Y Fenni, as the place in Welsch is called, is an old town. During the Roman Empire it was a Roman army camp. In the center of Abergavenny is the beautiful Market Hall. Several markets are held here.

Brecon Beacons National Park

For hikers, the area around Abergavenny and the campsite is a paradise. You camp on the edge of Brecon Beacons National Park. The Brecon Beacons are a mountain range in the south of Wales. Here are the highest peaks in Great Britain. If you want to conquer them, it will take you about three quarters of an hour by car.

Travelling party: Seniors

We spent two night here in our motorhome. We were warmly welcomed and directed to our pitch. The pitches are large and have their own tap and drain. Electricity is metered which seemed a bit odd but worked out very economically. Showers are on a 50p meter and washing up 20p, a bit annoying. We walked into Abergavenny in 45 minutes and also had a lovely meal at the Walnut Tree. A lovely peaceful site in beautiful surroundings.

"Campsite in a former orchard with beautiful views of the hills. The spacious pitches offer a lot of privacy. From the campsite you can walk to one of the most beautiful places in Wales. Picturesque Abergavenny is well worth a visit."
