This campsite is situated in south of the Belgian Ardennes, on the Semois River and near the village of Tintigny. You are here in the Gaume region, which has a friendlier and slightly more French appearance than the Ardennes. It is also a bit sunnier and therefore warmer here. The park-like, well organised camping site is mainly geared towards families with children, mostly from the Netherlands.

Beautifully laid out camping site

The first impression is that Camping de Chênefleur is beautifully laid out and well maintained. The spacious pitches are divided in groups and demarcated. The most beautiful pitches are located by the river. If you insist on a pitch with ample shade, you will have to search a bit. The rental accommodation consists of bungalows, mobile homes and tents. The wooden mobihut, which can be positioned in any desired spot, is something special..

Bar-restaurant

On the camping site you will find a modest bar-restaurant (outside the peak season and school holidays only open during weekends) and a small shop for basic groceries. You will find more eating establishments in Tintigny as well as a small supermarket (2 km from the camping site).

River as water fun park

The camping site has a heated swimming pool, but in summer the Semois River turns into a real water fun park. Children can play to their heart's content in the shallow water, build dams, catch fish or float on an airbed.

During peak season and school holidays lots of activities are organised on the camping site by a professional entertainment team. In addition, all kinds of outdoor sports activities for young and old are organised by the camping site, such as canoeing and mountain biking trips, climbing and abseiling and horseback riding tours.

Travelling party: Seniors

Prima camping. Vriendelijke ontvangst met veel info over wat te doen in de omgeving. Mooie grote plaatsen en een heel net sanitair. Jammer dat je maar 5 minuten onder de douche kunt staan want dan stopt het warme water. Zwembad zou wel eens vernieuwd mogen worden en dan ook verplaatst kunnen worden naar een andere plek op de camping met meer zon. Terrein erg goed onderhouden en de kampeerplaatsen leuk afwisselend.

Plezierige camping met veel ruimte. Eigenaars en personeel nemen goed de tijd voor de klanten. Sanitair wordt goed bijgehouden. Gemeld probleem met een toiletbril was binnen half uur geholpen met nieuwe.

Mooie verzorgde camping. Ruime camperplaatsen.
Prima sanitair. Vriendelijke ontvangst.
Wij zijn hier al meerdere keren in het laagseizoen geweest en altijd een top camping. Nu, 26/27 juni, is dat minder. Het sanitair van de heren is gesloten en bij de dames is de helft ook afgesloten. Te weinig gasten volgens de dame bij de receptie. Wij hebben het er nog nooit zo druk gezien. Gevolg hiervan: ‘s ochtends wachten bij toilet en douche en veel gemopper.

Bij het sanitair zat het toiletpapier vast in de houder en was dus onbruikbaar, evenals de handdoekjes. De afwasbakken waren ronduit smerig

Prachtige camping met ruime plaatsen. Gelegen langs de Semois. Beheerders gaven alle mogelijke informatie over de omgeving.
Helaas zijn de fietsroutes niet duidelijk aangegeven. We volgden delen van de Romeinse weg, waar volgens de info zich allerlei bezienswaardigheden zouden moeten zijn maar ook die hebben we niet gevonden.

Liked - grote plaatsen aan de rivier, heel rustige groene omgeving

Sanitair heel schoo, wordt ook voortdurend schoon gemaakt, eerste reis na de Covid lockdown, we hebben ons op geen enkel moment onveilig gevoeld - integendeel. De uitbaters nemen echt alle maatregelen in acht.

Het was nog rustig op de camping, toch werd een een kampvuur gemaakt, zalig.
