In Croatia, on the island of Krk, is where you will find Campsite Bor amid the olive trees. Here you camp at a quiet campsite close to the centre of Krk and the sea. The campsite is run by the Mrakovcic family and they produce olive oil and wines there. It is a popular holiday destination for many campers due to the pleasant Mediterranean climate. Sun lovers can enjoy the warm rays of sun early in the spring and the clear water attracts many divers and water sports fans.

By foot to the historic city centre

The campsite is within walking distance of the historic centre of Krk. The ideal thing about this location is that you are not bothered by the busy city but it is very close by. During the summer months, cultural events are organised regularly in Krk.

Camping under the olive trees

The partly demarcated pitches are situated on wide terraces, with olive and fig trees providing shade. There is of course less shade in the areas with young olive trees. The special tent field is car free. The campsite offers the option to store your caravan here in the winter, for a fee. The toilet and washing facilities were renovated in 2016. Between the larger campsites nearby, this is the right place for campers who are looking for more peace and quiet. There are three swimming pools: a wading pool and two standard swimming pools. As the pools are not so large, it is quieter here. The beach is pretty busy and is approximately 800 metres away. The walk back is quite a hike as the campsite is situated on a hill.

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

Liked - Die Altstadt von Krk und Umgebung mit den vielen Buchten hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Der Campingplatz liegt ca. 15 Minuten zu Fuß vom Meer entfernt auf einer Anhöhe. Die Altstadt ist ebenfalls in 15 Min. Fußweg zu erreichen.

Wunderbar gelegener Platz, an manchen Stellen Sicht auf Krk und die Bucht. Sanitäranlagen sind einfach aber sehr sauber und zweckmäßig. Leider wurde uns mit ACSI Karte nur ein Stellplatz ohne Schatten zugeteilt. Verfügbare Plätze mit Halbschatten seien nicht mit Taxi Karte zu bekommen. Insgesamt ein sehr schöner Platz und mit dem Fahrrad ist man eben nur in der Altstadt von Krk.

Begin juni 2022 op camping Bor gestaan. Mooie camping. We stonden op het nieuwe gedeelte, waar ook de nodige boten gestald stonden. Tja. Verder mooie plek, uitzicht ook mooi. Met de fiets ben je zo in KRK. Vanaf de mooie fetstocht gemaakt naar franciscanen klooster. Zwembad op de camping is er puur om af tekoelen. Mooie strandjes. Ooit komen we terug

Travelling party: Family with children, 12 - 18 years

Vrij grote, professionele camping. Zeer vriendelijke ontvangst en ruime keus uit plekken. Uitzicht op Krk is prachtig. Sanitairgebouw vooraan de camping is zeer modern en prima. Het andere inderdaad erg gedateerd en klein. Zwembaden precies genoeg om lekker even af te koelen. Let op dat je alleen contant kunt betalen. Dit geldt trouwens ook voor het hele eiland. Je zit hoog en daardoor hoor je wat er gebeurt in het stadje. Wij konden daardoor meegenieten van het dorpsfeest. Vonden wij niet storend. Klim naar beneden hebben we gewoon met de auto gedaan. Er zijn zat parkeerplaatsen beneden zodat je Krk kunt bekijken. Dat is zeker de moeite waard. Wij waren er slechts 2 dagen maar langer verblijf was zeker leuk geweest.

Liked - Campeggio molto pulito e ben servito. Presenti tutti i principali servizi come mini market.
Disliked - Le piazzole non sono illuminate e m, molto spesso, le tende non possiedono una illuminazione propria come i camper di conseguenza abbiamo spesso mangiato al buio.

Camping Bor, is nog een echte camping voor kampeerders en kent nauwelijks vaste plakken of mobilhomes. De camping wordt gerund door een zeer enthousiaste familie die er alles aan doet het je naar de zin te maken. Op de meeste plekken van de terassencamping heb je zicht op KRK stad en de zee. De camping ligt wel op een heuvel met vrij steile klim van 600 meter. Met e-bike goed te doen, op een gewone fiets is het afzien evanals lopen voor minder fitte mensen. Er is af en toe wel een shuttlebusje naar beneden. Wie tussen volgroeide bomen wil staan kan kiezen voor het terrein bovenin dat geen afgebakende plekken kent, maar wat het meest rustiek ligt. Klien nadeel is geen water daar dichtbij de plekken, daarvoor moet je 50 meter lopen. Beneden nieuw sanitair, boven wat bedaagd, maar het wortdt de hele dag permanent schoon gehouden door een ploegje gezellige dames. Het zwembad gebied kent 2 kleine bassins en een kinder bad. Niet voor baantjes trekkers, wel voor verkoeling. Beneden is ook een klein openbaar strandje (wel waterschoenen nodig) naast een andere grotere camping. Ook dit is steil.dalen en klimmen. Daar is een gezellig barretje met snacks en ook een meer uitgebreid restaurant. Soms is daar life muziek die in de avond goed is te horen, maar men houdt op, op redelijke tijden. Het camping restaurant is zeer goed en zelfs in het voorseizoen zit het geregeld vol, en is reserveren aan te bevelen als je buiten wilt zitten. Stadje KRK is verder zeer gezellig met een levendige haven en vele restautantjes en barretjes. .
