CosyCamp is an environmentally-friendly campsite, located near the village of Chamalières-sur-Loire in Haute-Loire on the banks of the Loire Sauvage. Come and live a glamping experience in a 4.5 hectare botanical garden where cars are not allowed. Large pitches, upscale atypical accommodation, a wellness area, outdoor swimming pools, swimming in the Loire, canoeing, games and bicycles available, and campfires. In short: everything you need for an exquisite holiday.

Forested area on the Loire

CosyCamp is in a stunning forested area, right on the Loire. You'll find one nature reserve after the other in the area. The campsite is in between three French pearls: the regional nature reserve Livradois-Forez, regional nature reserve of Pilat, and the Monts d'Ardèche nature reserve. The campsite grounds are all about nature too. They have been designed with an emphasis on the relationship between people and nature. Totally environmentally-friendly. You'll find botanical gardens here, with the most extensive flora, and all the buildings are made from untreated wood.

Environmentally-friendly glamping

All of the rentals are also designed with conservation in mind. Don't be afraid that you'll have to spend the night in a small wooden hut, though. CosyCamp has the look of a luxury campsite. With very special rentals, including treehouses, lodges and gypsy wagons, you can definitely consider this 'glamping'. The pitches are spacious: the smallest is no less than 100 m².

Fresh, local food

At CosyCamp, simple, local and environmentally-friendly food is served. In the organic kitchen, they make their hamburgers from cows from the Haute-Loire, and every day, there's a special on the menu from the region. You can also have breakfast in the communal dining room, and order picnic baskets with fresh local produce.

Liked - De vriendelijke mensen, de opzet van de camping met de vuurplaats, heel gaaf! Het zwembad was altijd schoon, sanitair ook.


Disliked - Onze plek was wat teveel afgesloten, afgelegen. Weten we dat voor de volgende keer. De grond zat vol stenen waardoor er heel veel haringen zijn gesneuveld.

Liked - Zeer fijne camping prachtig gelegen aan de Loire rivier. Autovrij daardoor rustig en veilig. Goed onderhouden. Kleinschalig. Veel aandacht voor natuur en sfeer. Niet teveel poespas. Leuke mix van camping gasten, veelal gezinnen met jonge kinderen.
Al met al een buitengewoon plezierig verblijf en voor herhaling vatbaar
Disliked - Niets noemenswaardig. Helaas was als gevolg van corona maatregelen het aanbod qua restauratie en activiteiten iets beperkter. Geen probleem echter.

Liked - Leuke plek. Ook om samen met vrienden te bezoeken.
Disliked - Maaltijden die geserveerd worden vonden we niet echt lekker. Weinig groentjes. Zeer goeie frietjes wel.

Liked - De safaritent is super! Hele nette tent en alles zit erin. Leuke camping met vanalles te doen. Heel relaxte sfeer
Disliked - We vinden heel veel erg leuk. Een ding om rekening mee te houden. Wanneer je een kinderbedje hebt dan past dit maar dan wordt het wat krap. Ook de ruimte tussen het grote bed en de looproute naar de kinderkamer is krap. Maar zeker goed te doen

Liked - Zeer rustige, kleine camping en relaxte sfeer. Kindjes van 5 en 6 hebben zich geweldig geamuseerd met te fietsen, kano varen, marshmellows roosteren aan het vuur en met de ziplines vlak naast de camping.
Mooie omgeving -mooie uitstappen gedaan.
Disliked - Eventueel een winkeltje op de camping had wel handig geweest.

Travelling party: Seniors

Liked - een erg leuke camping waar oprecht moeite wordt gedaan om de ecologische voetafdruk van kampeerders te beperken, waar creatieve inspanningen werden gedaan inzake inkleding en speelmogelijkheden en waar een relaxte sfeer heerst.
Disliked - omdat we 's ochtends vroeg vertrokken hadden we niet meer de kans om afscheid te nemen en Sofie en co te bedanken. Jammer want dat was oprecht onze bedoeling.

Liked - Een bijzondere camping! Fijne sfeer met alle leuke kunstige verrassingen! Oprecht een hele mooie verzorgde camping. De fietsjes voor de kinderen (3 en 5) zijn echt een leuke toevoeging (een extra kleine maat fietsje zou leuk zijn, nu moesten we heel goed zoeken), het parcours bij de zipline, de BBQ plek, de gratis kano, de hangmatten. Echt een heel prettige plek. App voegt ook echt wat toe.
Disliked - We vonden de receptie echt niet vriendelijk. Alle noodzakelijke info gekregen, maar hartelijkheid of medeleven ontbrak. Jammer want dat zou het echt afmaken.
Verder was de aankomst onduidelijk doordat niet helder is waar te parkeren als nieuwe gast (met aanhanger), en vervolgens moet je alsnog keren wat natuurlijk onhandig is met aanhanger. Dit komt mede door de verplaatste receptie wat je pas ontdekt als je voor de deur staat. Vooraf bericht hierover of een duidelijk bord eerder aan de weg kan dit eenvoudig voorkomen.
