From Camping de la Baie, located on the Breton coast, you have direct access to the beach on the Bay of Quiberon. You camp on a well-kept terrain on a touring pitch with privacy provided by large hedges. At this quiet campsite you can take a dip in the swimming pool, but especially around the campsite there is a lot to do. Join a boat trip on the Gulf of Morbihan or cycle to Carnac. Almost three thousand menhirs to admire here.

Well-maintained campsite

About a hundred touring pitches can be found on the campsite, which is only separated from the beach and the Atlantic Ocean by a road and car park. The terrain is well kept: narrow roads provide a sense of tranquillity, large hedges and trees delimitate the touring pitches. The pitches are large enough for every type of camping. However, placing a motorhome or caravan may require some driving skills.

Swimming pool

The swimming pool is situated in a sunny spot at the entrance of the campsite, It is separated by a wall. It's not very big, but nice to cool off. For the youngest swimmers there is a shallow, shielded area where they can paddle in peace and quiet. There is a waterslide for the daredevils.

Ebb and flow

If you cross the parking lot at the entrance of the campsite, you will be on the beach within a few steps. At high tide (and nice weather) you can swim in the Atlantic Ocean. At low tide a fairly muddy part of the coast of the Bay of Quiberon is exposed. This, in turn, is ideal for gathering shellfish.

Liked - Good sized pitches with watter and drainage was ideal. Toilets and facilities were all well kept, clean and tidy. Reception staff were friendly and helpfull. Nothing seemed too much trouble.
Disliked - Access was a bit tight and although checkin was from 14:00 onwards we were blocked from leaving around 11:30 by three campervans trying to checkin. Site staff should be a bit more strict about arrival times.

Liked - We have been coming here for many years as our children (plus us) love it. It has a chilled vibe with very friendly and helpful staff. It's not too big so feels open and safe as well. Love how close it is it to the beach and the surroudning towns whilst feeling tucked away.

Liked - Location, right on the beach, best toilet/shower block we have ever seen, fully serviced right at the pitch, no long cables or water hoses needed, plenty to do
Disliked - Pitches were a little on top of each other crammed in like sardines, on last morning huge dog poo right on the front of our pitch, owner did not care where his dog defecated, just left it there, disgusting

Liked - we first stayed at Camping de la Baie in 2019 and loved it, because of Covid we had to wait until 2022 to return, 2nd time we loved it more than the 1st and will definitely be returning

Liked - Very professional and courteous team. Same core crew of staff for a number of years.
Facilities are meticulously maintained. Life guard at pool did sterling job maintaining safe environment for all children.
Location is ideal on the peninsula.
In spite of site management's best efforts, some noise in parts of the site beyond 'curfew' but not a massive problem.
If you love walking and swimming, no better place to come.
Disliked - Nothing negative about the site or its facilities.
Sole negative relates to irresponsible dog owners and their dog mess... a problem the world over it seems. [dog mess off-site, not on it!]
