The Océano d'Or campsite, which is well organised and well-kept, is a good place for campers who like a friendly atmosphere and well-kept facilities. There is a large bar; the place to be for a snack, a drink and evening entertainment. The proximity of several white sandy beaches (Plage de Boisvinet) and nice seaside resorts (Jard-sur-Mer) also makes a wide public happy to spend their holidays here.

Camping on grass

The pitches for campers are separate from the mobile homes and chalets. They are spacious, flat pitches on a grassy surface. High, green hedges provide privacy, but there are also pitches with less shelter. The deciduous trees provide pleasant shade all day long. The campsite has four neat sanitary blocks.

Clean swimming pool with three slides

At the front of the campsite there is a large outdoor swimming pool. There is plenty of space to relax on one of the comfortable sunbeds. For children the three slides are a real attraction. They end up in a separate pool that is beautifully landscaped with rocks and plants. Next to the main pool there is a heated children's pool. There is also an indoor swimming pool where the youngest campers will also find a nice play area.

Beaches around the corner

The nearest beach is about twenty minutes' walk away. During the summer months you can get there by the free shuttle bus offered by the campsite.

Indoor or outdoor games

Next to a gym there is a sports field for a game of volleyball or basketball. Furthermore, young people can enjoy themselves in the large indoor area, with table tennis and billiard tables.

Liked - grandes piscines mais insuffisantes en taille vu le nombre de résidents sur le camping - calme la nuit
Disliked - peu d 'espaces ombragés voir quasi aucun- sanitaires Etoile fermés pourquoi ? aire de vidange des eaux grises des camping car trop étroite et mal placée

Liked - Meeste was wat onder gemiddeld
Disliked - In eerste instantie veel te kleine kampeerplek tov van wat was bevestigd. Geen controle op luidruchtige kampeerders. Toiletten worden te weinig schoongemaakt. Te druk bij het zwembad en geen controle op bezet houden van bedjes.

Liked - The outdoor swimming pool with lazy river was perfect for the whole family, indoor pool wasn't as family friendly, 2 of our children were unable to touch the bottom of the pool as floor was steep. The reception area had adequate hand sanitizer but there was no information about pool or shop/takeaway given when we checked in. The hand sanitizer bottle in the pool was broken for the entirety of our holiday. Jard sur Mer was beautiful with access to lovely sandy beaches approx 1.8km away. La Tranche-sur-Mer (16km away) has lovely markets and fabulous beaches.
Disliked - We arrived on a Sunday evening. I decided to call to the Chadotel on-site shop to purchase water, milk and bread. It was 7:28pm when I entered the shop when a man came in the door behind me saying "Ferme" closed. The sign on the door states 7:30pm. "Ferme" in an angry manner and I have to leave the shop without the essentials: water, milk & bread bad form. Needless to say I spent No Money in the campsite as a result. Lots of Pool sun loungers broken and during 2nd week the good 1's taken away and placed on pallets to the rear of the outdoor pool obviously being put away for 2022.

Disliked - Les toilettes sales et pas assez nettoyées pour la fréquentation du mois d’août
Pas de papier toilettes dans chaque toilettes ce qui engendre un énorme gaspillage
Douches capricieuses brûlant/ gelé ( le plombier ne passe a priori qu’une fois par semaine !)
Piscine trop petite et non chauffée pour l’influence de personnes
Accès aux emplacements exigu
Les jeux non adaptés aux enfants de moins de 4/5 ans
Pour finir un très mauvais accueil de la personne qui nous a placé

Disliked - Pour faire court, camping au niveau d’un excellent 3 étoiles ou d’un 4 étoile mais pas 5. Une concurrence voisine fait beaucoup mieux

Liked - Le mauvais temps nous a pas permis de profiter de la piscine extérieur.
Nous avons eu l impression que celle intérieur était trop petite.
Pour les jeux d'enfants ils étaient occupés par des adolescents.
Nous avons rien à dire sur 'à propreté des sanitaires.
