Flower Camping La Bretonnière is not far from the beaches of the Atlantic Coast, at a distance of some 2 km from the town of Saint-Julien-des-Landes. The area is rural and the very green grounds exude peace and quiet. A perfect choice for campers looking for quiet and are interested in walking and cycling. Families with young children will also get their money's worth here. Enough entertainment to be found without compromising the quiet atmosphere.
Rest and space on a green camping site
The most remarkable feature of this camping site is its well-cared for character with lots of greenery and flowers. The camping pitches are very spacious and attractively surrounded by vegetation. Furthermore, the camping site offers various types of rental accommodation: mobile homes, wooden chalets and furnished tents. Camping guests are provided with five ablution blocks, some of which have separate cubicles for babies and disabled persons. Free use of hot water.
A nice feature of this camping site is the availability of all facilities, whilst retaining the small-scale character. There are two covered swimming pools, one of which is a heated pool, as well as some water playground equipment. There is a lovely multi sports field for sports and games, a soccer field and a volleyball field, tennis courts, recreation area and a mini-club. A quick bite to eat, nice snacks and takeaway meals are available from the (snack)bar. There is a mini-market for basic necessities.
Out into the open air
La Bretonnière is an ideal base for cyclists; the coastal region of the Vendée has a whopping 1500 km of bicycle paths. This way you can enjoy nature up close and feel the salty wind blow through your hair.

Liked - Swimming pool and dates we stayed. Much quieter than if we arrived 2 weeks prior
Disliked - Very average showers, could have been better.
Think it's very French to have no toilet seats and soap?! But this could have been a basic provision added to all blocks rather than just 2 we saw in the whole campsite.
Liked - Friendly and helpful
Liked - The staff were very friendly and helpful. It's not too big so comfortable and relaxing
Disliked - non, c'etait tres bon!
Liked - This was a fairly large but really quiet place. There were animations most evenings but these didn’t disturb our kids sleep and were over, with everyone quiet, by 11pm. The sites were really large and well appointed, great shower facilities clean and plentiful. Toilets were clean also but unisex which may not be ideal for everyone. Pool was lovely and never too busy, we were always able to get a sun lounger. Really close to lovely beaches and the high ropes course just down the road was a brilliant day out even with our 6,8 & 9 year olds. We loved it and would def come back again
Disliked - No we loved everything, but if we had stayed longer it would have been nice to have been able to get more varied food in the restaurant, not just fast food.
Liked - Stayed here as a family of 3, with our 7-year-old son. We loved the spacious pitch, with hedges affording a good degree of privacy from our neighbours. Great washrooms, a lovely pool, bar and reception area, and all the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The site is very well laid out and beautifully maintained, very relaxed and peaceful. We had a fantastic time and can't wait to return next year.

Disliked - Nothing
Liked - The staff are fantastic
Disliked - The only negative was the kids did not like the typical french campsite facilities half indoors and outdoors as the swallows like to roost in the eves
Liked - We booked 4 chalets for ourselves (over 60s!), our grown up 'children' and our grandchildren. We felt that the campsite was a safe environment with plenty of activities and we all had a really enjoyable holiday. The campsite is well run and the owners are friendly and helpful. Regis was very quick to respond when a plumbing problem was reported. The pizza and chips were very good!
Disliked - The main pool gets rather crowded at times partly because the smaller pool is underused as it is too cold.
