You can enjoy all this to the fullest when you camp at campsite du Pont d'Avignon. This child-friendly campsite is located on an island in the Rhône river. This campsite is especially popular because it is a municipal campsite in Avignon. From the campsite, you can easily cross the river using the free ferry service or you can walk to the beautiful town centre in 20 minutes.

Camping in comfort

When you drive through the campsite, you can imagine yourself in a lush, green park. There are many trees and the camping pitches are situated on grass. Do you value your privacy during your holiday? Then choose a spacious camping pitch between tall hedges, which also provide plenty of shade. There are also open fields where you can pitch your tent or caravan.

Water fun in the swimming pool

The entire campsite is very green, and this also applies to the swimming pool area. The playfully constructed swimming pool is surrounded by plants, giving you that true holiday feeling when you go for a swim. There is also a paddling pool for the little ones. There are a number of loungers at your disposal.

The restaurant with a terrace is located directly next to the pool, allowing you to keep an eye on the children while they are busy splashing in the water. The children will not be bored in the peak season, with an enthusiastic entertainment team thinking up the most fun activities and games.

Travelling party: Couple

Nach zwei Jahren sind wir erneut hier, dieses Mal nur zum Zwischenhalt. Die Sanitäranlagen sind mittlerweile modernisiert und das Personal war super freundlich. Wir fühlten uns sofort herzlich empfangen und konnten ab Minute eins entspannen!

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

Super Ausgangspunkt, um Avignon zu besuchen. Man ist in wenigen Minuten in der Stadt. Platz war nett. Auch einen Spielplatz gibt es. Der Pool hatte noch nicht geöffnet. Die Sanitäranlagen waren ok. Aber an einem Tag hatten wir kein warmes Wasser.

Der Platz liegt sehr zentral, von einer Nebenstraße aus gibt es eine kostenlose Fährverbindung (alle 15 Min.), die einen zur Altstadt bringt. Die Sanitäranlagen sind einfach, waren aber stets sauber. Die großen Plätze sind mit hohen Hecken eingefasst.

Liked - Super gelegen, nicht nur zur Stadt Avignon auch für umliegende Städte, genug freie Plätze, zum selbst aussuchen, schattig, Hecken trennen die Plätze, große Plätze 10x10 mindestens, genug Sanitäreinrichtungen, Rezeption sprach sogar deutsch und auf jeden Fall englisch-> topp
Disliked - Duschwasser war nicht immer warm genug,konnte man nicht selbst einstellen

Liked - Sehr schöner Stadt - Campingplatz in idealer Lage, ruhig und trotzdem zügig zu Fuß in der Stadt.
Ganz nette Leute an der Rezeption!
Disliked - Der Mini - Markt dürfte ein größeres Sortiment an Lebensmitteln, Souvenirs etc haben. Etwas lieblos.
Ein weiterer Ausgang Richtung Radweg wäre wünschenswert, Spaziergang in die Stadt wäre dann direkt am Fluss kürzer
