We must agree with many of the other contributors. we opted to pay the extra a serviced pitch so far acceptable.
We were aware that electricity in Germany was expensive and as the weather was cold and raining opted to use our own gas for heating during our 5 night stay.
Walking and views in the area are beautiful, however when we came to leave, and asked pay for our stay, was angered to find a substantial charge for electricity. When the charge was queried the owner simply shrugged her shoulders. This was by far the most expensive site we have ever used with Acsi. We would not recommend this site and judging by the previous comments am surprised Acsi still promote this site.
We stayed at this campsite for three nights due to its perfect position for visiting the surrounding area. Our stay was spoilt, however by the lady in Reception who was unfriendly and made you feel like you were bothering her. There were threatening, excessive signs everywhere which made you feel uncomfortable. It\'s a pity as there is so much to see in this area but we would not recommend this site to anyone.
We were pleased with our pitch and the camping in general.first time we\'ve ever had to pay for hot water to wash up! Electricity usage above 4 kilowatts daily is extra and please read notice on reception door, as office doesn\'t open until 10am on Sunday\'s and we had 45 mins wait to depart!!!!!!
The staff were very unhelpful and the lady on reception was miserable, rude and aggressive and was in the middle of a heated argument with another customer when we went to reception. We were charged the maximum tax and a pathetic amount for hot water to wash dishes. There was no-one in the bar in the evening which wasn\'t surprising. All the signs were in german, no other language. We had planned to return to visit Eagle\'s Nest but given the way we were treated we would never go back. This was a truly unpleasant experience unlike the other ACSI sites we visited in May/June 2015 which I will be reviewing in due course.
A very disappointing experience. The staff seemed very unfriendly, particularly the lady at reception who could not offer a smile or a friendly word. The pitch had empty beer bottles on it and the electric hook up was through a fence and down a bank. Could not get food or a drink, despite indication bar was open.
Lady at reception was glum and quite rude. Pitch was OK, grass/muddy on a slope. it was an OK campsite, 2 stars not 4.
The lady in reception was very helpful, although the site was busy she went out of her way to fit us in. the wi-fi was free, the showers and toilets were very clean with lots of hot water. We were given a tourist card for free travel on the bus, which we caught at the end of the road. The only downside was, any electricity used over 4 kwh was expensive
Wonderful views but site itself is not very well kept apart from showers and toilets which were very clean. Hot water was charged for by meter for washing up and signs were everywhere instructing you not to take water from showers. Lots of petty signs around with rules and regulations. High tourist tax and high electricity charges. Also bread rolls were very expensive and not very good. Unfriendly woman in reception. Would find an alternative site if visiting area again.
thus is one o the worst campi sites ever. it was horrible it was in the middle of nowhere which in this case is a bad thing as its basically situated on a street. the facilities it says it offers are not all there such as tennis and a body of water theres a tiny tiny little stream. the lady who runs the place is a mean bossy old hag who ties to manipulate u and the campsite itsel is disgusting dirty small lots of peolle walking around hal nake drinking beer an basically having no appriciaten for others. the toilets are disgrace ful dirty muddy and theres nothing to dry your hands on. so if your looking to ruin your vacation come here if you want to have fun and enjoy yourself i would re ommend one o the campsites near the konigsee, Graflehen is very good and nicely situated
Not a very friendly reception. I was not given a chance to read the electric meter which was locked after connection by owner.
After 3 day stay on checkout was told we had used 25kwh of electricity!! We only use that amount at home and nowhere near that for lights & fridge in caravan. A rip off!!
The main reason for staying was to visit the area which was excellent.
