Travelling party: Family with children, 12 - 18 years

A little disappointed with the site in comparison to others stopped at on our journey through NL, Lux and G towards A and I. Not a patch on many already stayed at and was swayed to stop here by prior reviews. We won\'t be coming back.

Travelling party: Couple

The staff are so friendly, a real family atmosphere - especially the couple running the Imbiss - excellent as was the food they served. This campsite is recommended by Legoland as a spillover when they are full, so the 1 night (a weekend) we stayed it was quite busy. Shower rooms are great, but a bit busy at peak times. The farm atmosphere and the parking by the lakeside (manmade lake) is special. Check in seemed a bit long-winded since every guest gets personally checked in and this led to a queue at peak times. When staying here you are on a working farm and so you have to expect activity but we had no problem with this. There is a nice large area for washing up and washing/drying clothes, breakfast is served if required, there is a TV at the Imbiss in a covered area, everything has been considered by the owners.

Travelling party: Family with children <4 years

A great site, especially if you have kids. Toilets/showers are excellent - showerrooms rather than cubicles so us and the kids could all go in together. There are no marked pitches as such - basically you pick a spot you like and set up camp. The staff are incredibly helpful (examples include helping me with a washing machine at midnight and confirming our next campsite because I can't speak German!).

There's so much to do for kids - a total back to nature feel to it. animals to pet & cuddle, free ponyriding, a small lake to swim in, another to fish in, a massive playbarn (a lifesaver the day we had a big thunderstorm - kids ran around, we played cards and drank coffee!), oh and it's about 20mins from legoland too!
No entertainment as such but they light a large communal BBQ each evening and everybody brings their own food/drink and sits around chatting. They do have a small restraunt also. All in all, kids will love it. And that makes a good time for mums and dads too!

Travelling party: Seniors

A nice site but cannot understand when the site has a large number of ‘Guests’ why the Showers and Toilets outside the main block (2 Showers & 2 Toilets!) are not open.
The site is however spoilt by the Trucks (LKW) that arrive on the other side of the lake to collect gravel and start at 05:30. This is not a peaceful site.

Travelling party: Family with children, various ages

What a great campsite. This is actually on a farm, with horses, cows, chickens, goats. We travelled round Germany this holiday visiting 6 campsites in all, this was amongst our favourites.

It is only a small site with around 40 pitches. The tents are put on a field and allowed to choose their spot (cars are not allowed on the grass). Caravans have hard standing spots, not quite as attractive.
The facilities were great. A rustic log cabin to do your washing up (looked brand new) with kettle, fridge, washing machine. The showers were lovely, more like a hotel.

The children can go and pet the animals, there is a big barn to go and play in and every afternoon they get the horses out and let the children ride them. Very close to legoland and steiff teddy bear factory highly reccommended.

There is a cafe on site for bread rolls, breakfast and ice creams etc (no evening meals). Nearest supermarket is a bit of a drive away.
Owners were very friendly, family feel.
