The terraced camping site Santa Fortunata is beautifully located at a high elevation. From here you have a glorious view of Sorrento Bay, the island of Capri and the Vesuvius volcano. On the camping site there is plenty to do for the entire family. Children can go to the playground or the mini club. Adults keep fit in the fitness area. Find out about the guided walking tours from the reception. And of course, the camping site swimming pool is ideal for cooling down.
Each camping pitch is unique
The slightly sloping camping grounds (30 ha) are well maintained with lots of vegetation. There is a vast choice of camping pitches. Each pitch differs in size (80-120 m2). The large pitches with view of the bay are the favourites. There are pitches which are demarcated/not demarcated and pitches with or without shade. Rental accommodation is also available: lodge tents, studios, apartments and bungalows.
Private rocky plateau on the sea
At the lowest point of the camping site is an outdoor swimming pool (150 m2) with loungers. There is a small pool for toddlers. It is a 10 minute descent on a narrow footpath to the stony beach on the rocky coast. This plateau belongs to the camping site. Here you can swim and snorkel in the sea.
Enjoy the South Italian cuisine
Santa Fortunata has a well-stocked shop, including fresh bread and breakfast. Obviously, you will start the day with an Italian cup of coffee. When you want to go out for a meal, you have a choice of a pizzeria and a restaurant with South Italian dishes. Take-away meals are also available.

A great camp site close to Sorrento with a shuttle bus going regularly into town. Awesome swimming spot in the ocean and beautiful swimming pool. Tired bathroom facilities but adequate. Big restaurant and a shop. Staff need lessons in customer relations. Sorrento is wonderful to visit.
If you hold an ACSI Card be very careful here.
The two young ladies at reception were exceedingly unhelpful when I questioned. They were expressionless and totally uninterested.
Nice site though. Shame about the arrogance!
Liked - The view and the region. Friendly staff people especially at the restaurant. Overal a good campsite to stay.
Disliked - Discomfort from music, loud talking from guests and staff at the toilet facility and extreme loud hand- and haar dryers.
Really enjoyed my stay we stayed here for four nights. Always hot showers pool was lovely and clean. Restaurant: great food and lovely staff you do have a top up card which you use on your stay for restaurant and shops and pool bar, but whatever you don’t spend you get back on your departure. Serento was lovely beautiful views the old town had lovely shops and restaurants would visit again.
Lovely campsite for visiting the surrounding area and Amalfi Coast. We didn't use the shuttle bus in to town, but it runs frequently. Very peaceful site. Excellent toilet facilities, each cubicle having its own sink, toilet paper and soap. Plenty of hot water in the showers. Pitch accommodated our large van and trailer easily but was dry earth and overgrown grass. The shop was well stocked with fresh food and the restaurant had a good menu and was very reasonable.
Good site situated on Amalfi Drive side of Town. There is a bus stop outside and the reception will give you a timetable, you can buy tickets at reception. As the site is on the clifftop it is terraced and steep to walk to or from facilities, shop or reception.
Great campsite for those wishing to visit Sorrento, Capri etc. We were given a superb pitch with views directly over the town and bay, it was just beautiful and you could spend you day just looking at the view. The shuttle (€1pp each way) was a great way to get in to Sorrento and well worth the small cost. The campsite was a little old fashioned but none the less charming for that. The toilet facilities were fine if a little bit old. The swimming pool was great and the poolside snackery very convenient. There is a beach onsite but be aware that it is a long long way down and longer back up. The shop was well stocked, prices were quite reasonable and the staff pleasant. The restaurant was fine but a bit limited in choice, again the staff were pleasant and friendly.
We spend five days at the campground visiting Pompei, Mt Vesuvius and Amalfi Coast. Nice terraced sites quite full in June. 10 minute walk to a very small and beautiful rocky beach with umbrellas and lounges for rent and small snack bar. Nice pool with swim cap rule. We drove our camper to Pompei and Vesuvius, and took public bus from Sorrento to Amalfi with returning by boat to Positiano and bus again from Positiano to Sorrento. Spotty paid internet connection. Very good value in the restaurant. Walking distance to Sorrento or public bus is also available.
A very good base for visiting Sorrento & the surrounding area. We were allocated a pitch on arrival with the bonus of a view! Pitch size was perfectly adequate for our stay. Shower/toilet facilities appear to have been refurbished & were excellent. Be aware that to use the restaurant, shop, coffee bar you need a Camp Card against which you put whatever cash you think you might spend & on departure any remaining money is paid back to you. We ate at the restaurant during our stay & on each occasion our meal was delicious & service was excellent, with a view to die for! All staff were welcoming, helpful & friendly We took advantage of the minibus that runs from the campsite into Sorrento. We were delighted because we were allowed to take our dogs with us - a rare treat when abroad! Since its’ location is on the side of a cliff, you may find a good pair of knees is an advantage!
Liked - Toilet and showers block. Near to Sorrento
