We were a bit unsure of this campsite when we first arrived but soon realized it had some very good points.
Every pitch had a sink and drainer right on site, so no need to carry the dishes across the campsite.
When we were there some of the showers were not hot. Out of season always check which ones are hot!
The bar was very good with fair prices and a small mini market with fresh bread each morning.
There were two supermarkets and a very good butchers ten minutes away by bicycle.
I can only assume that the annual inspection is yet to be conducted at this site. The beach and the sound of the sea is fantastic unfortunately that’s where it ends. The facilities are atrocious. No running water in the toilet block, toilets filthy, row after row of disused cubicles full of broken tables & chairs. Showers with doors closed with tied washing line. Never found anywhere to empty the chemical toilet other than down a toilet with no flush water. Junk lying about like a scrap yard and bags upon bags of campsite rubbish strewn up and down the road adjacent to the site. Luckily we had the facilities we needed on our Motorhome but if you rely on the site amenities avoid!!
The staff here are so friendly and welcoming and we were impressed with how helpful they were. The campground facilities are reasonable- somewhat dated but not terrible. Be prepared to bring your own toilet paper as there is none on the toilets. The campsite is right on the beach and we loved falling asleep to the sound of the waves however the surrounding area is not nice at all, all the buildings/beach clubs are very old, there is litter all over the ground, prostitutes walk the streets at nice and it's about 15 km to get into the nice part of Salerno. It was the closest campsite to get to Positano and Amalfi and we were able to hire a scooter, or there is a bus/ferry option from the campsite.
