The Italian Ligurian coast is known for the colourful villages of Cinque Terre, picturesquely positioned against the rocks above the sea. On that same steep coast, Camping Smeraldo is located on a rocky ridge above the clear blue water. Camping Smeraldo is a unique place for the somewhat adventurous campsite visitor. Once you have reached the place with your tent or motorhome, a special stay awaits you with the sea, beach and mountains playing a major role. You can also book a bungalow or apartment at this dream location.

A tunnel through the rocks to the campsite

You access the campsite in a unique way, namely, via a tunnel through the rocky coast. At one time, steam trains rode through this tunnel – now, you drive through it in your car. Although it is only possible for traffic to travel in one direction, this changes every twenty minutes, making your waiting time a maximum of twenty minutes.

The campsite is not suitable for very large recreational vehicles because of the width of the tunnel and the rocky terraces on which the pitches are located. Tent pitches are 4x4 metres and equipped with a shade sail. The pitches are paved, and all have a view of the sea. This also applies for the charming bungalows and apartments.

Sun, sea and beach

Camping Smeraldo is a perfect spot for those who love the sea and the beach. You can rent stand up paddleboards and canoes at the campsite. You walk from your tent straight to the pebble beach. Beach lounges are available for rent for wonderful long days by the water. The toilet blocks have both sitting and squatting toilets.

Liked - Wat een prachtige plek! Het uitzicht is fantastisch en verveeld nooit. Privé strand met strandbedjes en parasol zijn bij huur inbegrepen. Bij de receptie erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Zo ook bij het regelen van het verkeer bij het opkomen of afgaan van de camping. Mooie omgeving. Een fantastische plek.
Disliked - Het pad naar het dorp is wel wat klauteren en klimmen, m.n. de eerste week toen de zee erg ruig was en het een uitdaging was om je voeten droog te houden.
Supermarkt is vrij beperkt.

Liked - personale supergentile, ristorante caro, market risicatissimo e caro, moneglia deve essere raggiungibile a piedi senza scalate scogli, parcheggio moneglia impossibile, io in moto ma in macchina avrei lasciato stare, ci vuole passerella per moneglia...con luci per sera.. sarebbe salto qualità
bungalow 6 con formiche e segatura ogni 12 ore da pulire all'interno della casetta. non proprio il massimo dell'igiene
