In a secluded spot in Piedmont, in the shadow of the Italian Alps, you'll find the Camping Il Melo campsite. This small campsite is an ideal starting point for mountain hikers. In addition, the nature and small scale of the campsite make it a relaxing place to camp for those seeking peace and quiet. From the green camping area, among flowers and trees, you can overlook the mountains. A cultural trip to Cuneo is definitely worthwhile.
Camping in the Alps
On the camping grounds of Il Melo campsite, you camp under the watchful eye of the mighty Alps. They, together with the small scale of the campsite, provide a calm and relaxed atmosphere. You will find about forty touring pitches on the campground, set among colourful flowers and mature trees. The pitches are not very big, but they are well kept and lie on a nice grassy base. The owners maintain the campsite well, but always with respect for nature. The pitches are minimally defined, which gives them a spacious feel.
For the mountain hiker
With the mountains so close, the Camping Il Melo campsite is an excellent base for mountain hikers. You will meet many outdoor campers and nature lovers, who often pitch a tent at the campsite. In the high season, however, you will also see families with children who are looking for a quiet place for their camping holiday.
A sunny pool
The swimming pool, located at the front of the campsite, is a great place for relaxation for both small and large guests. The rectangular pool is of a medium size, and leaves plenty of room all around for loungers. You can take a refreshing dip while the sun shines on the water.
